    General Assignment: This is an exciting and innovative new project to help improve the mental well-being of South Sudanese refugees fleeing violence and food insecurity and now residing in a refugee camp near Gambella Town and you will be providing psychological assistance and support to improve the mental health of the camp population working on one to one basis with individuals or with groups. Duties and Responsibilities: 1.      To provide psychological interventions as part of the Psychological Distress Program (PDP) ·         To provide psychological counselling, psychologist interventions, support and engagement to individuals and to facilitate/lead group therapeutic activities, within both the camp community and from operational PDP centres/buildings around the camp.  ·         Conduct psychological assessments, manage casework, and make referrals as necessary ·         Record and document your work (e.g. case notes/files) 2.      Team & Partnership Working ·         To work with the PDP team members to deliver the service ·         Work with, and support colleagues, incentive workers and volunteers in delivering services and activities ·         Network, liaise and communicate with other organisations within the camp including local authorities, NGO’s and community/camp organisations as directed/agreed with the manager and the operational approach, to increase effectiveness, learning/knowledge and to maximise the reach of our services to those most in need. 3.      Contribute to the development and implementation of the PDP. ·         Provide on-going information and share experiences to help develop, modify & improve the service ·         Participate in research activities on Mental Health (including various psychological approaches) within the refugee context ·         Help build a ‘learning base’ for project capitalisation ·         Contribute to producing impact and capitalization documents and reports. 4.      Monitoring & Evaluation of the Project ·         Support the monitoring, reporting and evaluation processes and contribute to providing, quality data for monitoring and evaluation purposes within the specified deadlines. 5.      Respect a strict confidentiality ·         Strictly respect the confidentiality of data, being the property of the project’s beneficiaries and Action Against Hunger.  Respect confidentiality regarding the content of clinical interviews, except when exchanging information with the psychologists in charge.
