    Engage in the design of census tools to capture childhood and maternal death during the 2018 census
    Involve in the training of data collectors and other field staffs on how to capture death during the 2018 census
    Identify study Kebeles for the post census cause of death identification project areas in collaboration with the CSA
    Retain/recruit some best performing data collectors in the 2018 census to work as data collectors for the post census cause of death identification planned for this project
    Heavily engage in the adaptation of verbal autopsy data collection tools to identify maternal and childhood cause of death at a community level
    Engage in the translation of designed verbal autopsy data collection tools into the local language
    Engage in the training of the GRADE infrastructure platform
    Involve in the training of data collectors on how to use the GRADE infrastructure to capture causes of death data
    Monitor field staffs in the capture of cause of death data using the GRADE infrastructure platform
    Involve in the recruitment of physicians that will work as coder physicians using the ICD-10 standard
    Involve in the training of coder physicians to assign causes of death using signs and symptoms captured by lay data collectors
    Engage in the recruitment of data managers that will be involved in the management of the cause of death data using the GRADE infrastructure platform
    Facilitate the trainings of data managers on the management of cause of death data using the GRADE infrastructure platform
    Prepare technical and financial report for IDRC and submit it for the project PI for approval before it is submitted for IDRC
    Engage in the proposal write-up to secure more funding to scale-up the project in wider areas to capture more childhood and maternal causes of death
    Involve in the preparation of the database to prepare journal articles to be submitted for publication
    Organize a series of dissemination workshops in collaboration with the Principal investigator
    Prepare brochures and pamphlets that will be used to disseminate main findings of the project during the dissemination workshops
    Secure renewal for Institutional Clearance from the Ministry of Science and Technology
    Liaison the project to Central Statistical Agency, Vital Registration Agency, Ethiopian Public Health Institute and Ministry of Health
    Will act as a focal person for the Canadian and Ethiopian research team members and report

    Position Summary:

    Minimum of two years’ experience teaching English in the classroom setting (primary or secondary level).

    Specialized knowledge or experience in all or most of the following:

     JOB SUMMARY      :
    The cumbersome have the prime responsibility to Improve the Quality service provisions by:
    1.1      Organizing and coordinating to develop  mobile unit  project planning
    1.2      Provides overall coordination and support to the FP/SRH SERVICE PROMOTION AND community or client MOBILIZATION activities in the Bergstorm PROJECT AREAS
    1.3       Leading the Quality Assurance Audit (QAO) by ensuring the provision of comprehensive FP especially PMFP including needed SRH services, preventive and curative health care services;
    1.4      Ensure observance and institutionalized of standard Infection prevention practices and protocols in all service delivery points (SDPS)
    1.5      Fully responsible to make procedure such as Female and Male VSC
    1.6      Coordinate and monitor the demand generation activities through using different community events
    1.7      Provide Clinical mentoring  to the project sites
    1.8      Participating in capacity building initiatives and capturing promising practice activities to raise the service providers’ professional to the project and FGAE clinics’ staff
    1.9      Ensure client follow up

    RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS     :
    .  The cumbersome have the  PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES of :
     

    Organize and develop Project detail action plan based on the project master list of the Activities.
    Develop detail mobile clinic travel plan
    Ensure the adequate availability of medical equipment, supplies and pharmaceuticals as needed to provide comprehensive FP/ SRH services at mobile clinic
    Ensure adequate and appropriate commodities, medication and clinical supplies are provided to clients
    Coordinate the mobile team detail activities as per the project plan
    Develop demand generation daily plan and support the implementation
    Ensure the demand creators working together with HEWs, women development Army and community influential on community mobilization  based on the expected  project schedule
    Strengthen partnership and referral linkage among the mobile clinic member and Health facilities staff and woreda Health offices
    Counsels on methods of FP choice;


    Assess, examines clients for different gynecological and related problems to RH/FP;
    Orders laboratory tests and examinations, evaluate the clients and action taken as per FP/SRH national SOP ;
    Order  contraceptives and RH related  medications
    Follow the quality of care standard fulfill
    Ensure standard infection prevention precautions are practiced and the clinic environment is friendly both for the providers and users and national IP guideline.
    As first key priority the following service provided sequentially

    6.1                Provide quality FP/SRH counseling 
    6.2                Provide Permanent Family planning(this is first priority):
     
    6.2.1          Perform Male VSC procedure
     
    6.2.2          Perform  Female VSC procedure
     
    6.3                Provide  other comprehensive FP services based on client choice: 
    6.3.1          Provide long term family planning methods including implants and IUCD
     
    6.3.2          Provide post partum counseling and Family planning especially insertion of IUCD
     
    6.4                Provide post Abortion counseling and  Family Planning service

    Second Priority if needed as follows:

    7.1                 Basic and comprehensive EmONC services provision skill if needed such as 
    7.1.1 Administer parenteral antibiotics
     
    7.1.2Administer parenteral oxytocic drugs
     
    7.1.3 Administer parenteral anticonvulsants for pre-eclampsia and eclampsia
     
    7.1.4 Perform manual removal of placenta
     
    7.1.5 Perform removal of retained products (e.g., manual vacuum aspiration)
     
    7.1.6 Perform assisted vaginal delivery
     
    7.1.7 Basic Neonatal resuscitation (bag and mask)
     
     
     
    7.2                Provide Safe motherhood services if needed:
     
    7.2.1       Provide ANC services 
    7.2.2       Provide skilled delivery services 
    7.2.3       Provide PNC services 
    7.2.4       Provide neonatal care services 
    7.2.5      Provide immunization services to pregnant ladies and under-one children 
    7.2.6        STI  screening 
    7.3                Provide other medical/gynecological services, manage STI cases diagnosis and management if needed:
     
    7.4                Provide other clinical and medicals services as required

    Follow up of clients and strengthen referral linkage
    Conduct regular mentoring  to project sites Health facilities and FGAE clinics especially on skill transfer of Male and Female volunteer surgical contraceptive(VSC) or Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of clinic and outreach based activities to identify any gap/challenge and propose timely solutions
    Coordinates weekly, monthly, and quarterly review meetings among the mobile team and HEWs including Health center head
    Prepares weekly service statistics and progress reports and submits to Area office managers and copy to head office project managers or M&E focal person with SMS message ;
    Ensures client demand creation session and users records  documentation and send report every week with SMS to the area office manager and copy to AO Project focal person
    Prepares monthly/quarterly, semiannually, Annually  progress narrative and service statistics reports and submits to Area office managers, HO project manager and focal person of M&E  ;
    Tracking project activities and budgets, which includes tracking of project activity
     Coordinate and Capture  best practice examples and ensure ongoing personal development and learning;
    Coordinate in the documentation and dissemination of lessons learned in available forums.
    Ensure analysis and interpretation of the project data for improvement of FP activities in the project areas
    Develop and maintain close working relationship with Government officials responsible for FP in project areas.
    Provides support for FP trainings/on the job training, workshops, and meetings conducted at Health facilities and woreda level, which includes preparing training plan in organizing and facilitating events
     Ensures effective implementation of the project activities as per the set plan of action, prepare quarterly and annual report as per the donor requirement.
     Conduct FP training especially PMFP based on need assessment finding
    Ensures the maintenance of efficient delivery of client care and the confidentiality of all cases, in accordance with accepted standard medical practices and professional code of conduct.
     Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
    Other duties and responsibilities:

    24.1.1   Assist the Clinic Coordinator in undertaking Planning, organizing and coordinating the Clinic activities
     
    24.1.2   Conduct rapid or operational researches to improve quality of services 
    24.1.3   Provide the necessary technical assistance to health workers 
    24.1.4   Act as a team leader for mobile unit and enforce the team work sprit
     
    24.1.5   Represent the AO/FGAE at woreda meetings 
    24.1.6   Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality of information including use and keeping medical records in proper places 
    24.1.7   Extend required admin and operational support to mobile unit in smooth management of day to day activities and client feedback management.
    Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.



     
    Job Requirements

    . Education: Health Officer with Master’s degree in primary emergency surgery or Health officers with accelerated PM surgery skill.
    B. Work Experience     : 4 years relevant experiences especially on provision of Male and Female VSC
    C. Skills                           :

    ·          Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills,
    ·          Interest and demonstrate potential to research and documentation of project/program progress and best practices;
