    Job Description
    Under the general Supervision of the ICT Manager, The ICT Officer performs overall ICT support and administration activities including end-user support or troubleshooting, installation, configuration administration and management of ICT equipment like servers, desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, switches, UPS, routers, PBX system; supports the acquisition, implementation and appropriate use of latest ICT technology (hardware, network, software or communication device).
    DUTIES/TASKS

    Responsible for first-line user support and maintenance or troubleshooting, installation and configuration of PCs, Servers, Laptops, UPS, Printers, Scanners, projectors, and administration of communication system;
    Administers the organization LAN/WAN, installs, maintains, and upgrades hardware, software, services, and other networking components and monitors periodically LAN systems, mail servers, application servers, security server, and PBX systems and takes appropriative corrective measures;
    Installs and tests software updates and patch programs to support various applications and various desktop, laptop, and Server operation systems;
    Identifies the hardware, software or communication system needed to provide solution to problems, assisting in customization and adaptation of existing systems or perform requirement analysis for new automation needs;
    Works on the preparation of technical specification and perform pro forma evaluation for ICT equipment and check delivery of ICT equipment as per the specification;
    Performs data maintenance and integrity activities and ensuring system security and perform critical data backup regularly;
    Facilitates and provides ICT technical service, advice and support to all users of the organization and monitor availability, capacity and performance of the ICT infrastructure and applications in regional offices;
    Ensures MSIE regional offices are linked through LAN/WAN systems and administers and provides support for Client management system that is being implemented in MSIE centres;
    Prepares training proposals relevant to MSIE users’ interests and provides training and support on technical aspects of corporate applications and information security responsibilities;
    Provides on-the-job training to MSIE regional users to support the use of modern ICT in the organization and ensure regional staff to effectively communicate with support office;
    Technically assists departments/work units, regional offices, centre to develop, design and deliver their own program/project related training programs essential for the organization;
    Conducts other IT related assignments as required.

    Job Requirements
    a. Education

    MSc/ BSc in Computer Science, or Information Technology,

    b. Experiences

    Two/Four years of practical experience in the similar capacity on above listed areas.

    Possession of thorough knowledge of microcomputer hardware and software and LAN operating system, LAN-based application software, security, communication, and diagnosis tools

    Duties

    This position is directly supervised by the Information Technology Systems Manager. This is 1 of 4 tier 1 technical support positions at the Information Resource Management (IRM) Help Desk serving as the administrative and technical manager of post’s mobile programs. Facilitates in-person and email requests by providing tier-1 helpdesk support and technical direction to customers. Oversees all IRM my Services requests, including the creation and tracking of requests, providing daily ticket request status reports to IRM, as well as following up on requests to ensure timely action is being taken. Provides IRM-related check-in and check-out assistance to the Mission’s new arrivals and departees.
    When serving as the mobile program’s administrative and technical manager maintains inventory, configures, and issues all mobile devices including iPads, iPhones, SAMSUNG, SPYRUS, all kinds of laptops, and any other mobile devices. Serves as point of contact for all mobile-related questions and advises on areas of improvement and growth for the post’s mobile program. The position has no supervisory responsibility.

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    EXPERIENCE:- Minimum of three years of customer service experience of which a minimum of two years of responsible experience in complex PC, Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments is required.

    Duties

    This position is directly supervised by the Information Technology Systems Manager. This is 1 of 4 tier 1 technical support positions at the Information Resource Management (IRM) Help Desk serving as the administrative and technical manager of post’s mobile programs. Facilitates in-person and email requests by providing tier-1 helpdesk support and technical direction to customers. Oversees all IRM my Services requests, including the creation and tracking of requests, providing daily ticket request status reports to IRM, as well as following up on requests to ensure timely action is being taken. Provides IRM-related check-in and check-out assistance to the Mission’s new arrivals and departees.
    When serving as the mobile program’s administrative and technical manager maintains inventory, configures, and issues all mobile devices including iPads, iPhones, SAMSUNG, SPYRUS, all kinds of laptops, and any other mobile devices. Serves as point of contact for all mobile-related questions and advises on areas of improvement and growth for the post’s mobile program. The position has no supervisory responsibility.

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    EXPERIENCE:- Minimum of three years of customer service experience of which a minimum of two years of responsible experience in complex PC, Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments is required.

    Addis Ababa Repi Soap & Detergent PLC IT Infrastructure Management ·         Responsible for all aspects of IT infrastructure operations and related performance management. ·         Evaluate and integrate infrastructure solutions into the overall organization, as determined by business, regulatory and market demands. ·         Ensure that all new technologies and services align with Wilmar global standard, business strategic principles and policy guidelines. ·         Responsible for the ongoing growth and development of Jr. IT Admin. ·         Guide the Jr. IT Admin in setting general process, roles and responsibilities. ·         Prepare and maintain the operating and capital budgets for IT Infrastructure (Network equipment – Servers- Workstations) and identify cost reduction opportunities. ·         Drive operational efficiencies that improve profitability and user satisfaction. ·         Provide technical recommendations on the selection of infrastructure, platforms, and related technologies; apply financial rigor, risk assessment and business rationale to all initiatives to help the management arrive at decisions that maximize business performance. ·         Focus on continuous process improvement and staff satisfaction by increasing IT’s value through innovation and emerging technologies. ·         Work closely with Jr. IT Admin to provide infrastructure guidance and oversee the infrastructure project portfolio; set appropriate enterprise expectations, manage risks and ensure organization achieves anticipated value; ensure infrastructure initiatives are tied to strategic initiatives. ·         Produce metrics showing operational compliance with best practices. ·         Manage suppliers to provide a good solution for the business as per agreed plans. ·         Develop, manage, and maintain all Repi Soap and Detergent PLC data centers and ensure that all policies and procedure are applied and followed. ·         Work with Wilmar Group IT to ensure that Repi soap and Detergent PLC is following corporate standards in all infrastructure, Security and Help desk areas. ·         Manage the site telecommunication infrastructure (Internet, VPN, Telephone...) and bill. ·         Manage IT assets within the site and perform tech refresh at stipulated periods. ·         Operate, troubleshoot, and resolve CCTV system issues.
