The Horn of Africa (including South Sudan) is a primary focus of Australia’s humanitarian assistance program. The Humanitarian Officer will help coordinate Australia’s response to the humanitarian crisis in South Sudan and surrounding countries, working closely with the United Nations, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and bilateral donor partners.  About the position: Under the direction of the Second Secretary Political (South Sudan), the Humanitarian Officer will coordinate Australia’s humanitarian program in South Sudan in partnership with governments and other partners. Monitoring and reporting on Australia’s humanitarian commitments will be a focus of the position.
