ECX would like to recruit motivated and qualified applicants for the following positions.Job Purpose: Plan, direct and supervise all sampling activities and ensure that sampling is carried out in line with ECX sampling standards and procedure. SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that the condition of the truck (sanitation, canvas, plump etc.) and area of sampling is appropriate for sample taking; Ensures that trucks are arranged in line with their order of arrival in coordination with the Warehouse Supervisor; Ensures the arrangements of all bags on truck are well thought-out for sampling before sample taking; Monitors and evaluates that the process of sample taking by the Sampler is in line with ECX sampling procedures; Ensures whether the sample drawn is representative from sampling/inspection platform or on the truck; Coordinates and supervises the performance of samplers; Ensures the random assigning of samplers by the system. In case of inappropriate assignment of samplers reports to the immediate supervisor as per the procedure set; Ensures samples are withdrawn at the presence of the owner/legal agent and if the owner/legal agent are not available on the spot return sample tickets; Ensures that the sample bags carry no distinctive markings, verifies sample bags used are uniform in size, color and are property of ECX; Sets arrivals rejected because of moisture for re-drying based on duration tables for re-drying; Retains documents and reports immediately any technical problems to the immediate supervisor as per procedure set on the working manual; Ensures the signed sampling ticket (both by him/her and sampler) is placed on the proper sample bag; Checks repetitively the completed sample has been that of the correct vehicle; Ensures that coded samples are directed to the laboratory; Immediately reports inappropriate sampling, wrong sampling bags, marked sampling bag, etc to the immediate supervisor as per procedure set on the working manual; Ensures the segregation of arrival consignment if it is heterogeneous in quality, processing and type; Performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Support and provide on the job training for general health care providers in mental health service provision. Identify, train and supervise local counterparts and volunteers. Support the manager to develop curriculum for and conduct training of trainers courses for physician Master Trainers. Develop and provide culturally appropriate community based mental health care services. Work within the framework of the IASC guidelines for mental health and psychosocial support in emergency settings. Collaborate informal service providers such as natural healers to facilitate information sharing and referral of mental health cases. Collaborate with community and existing institutional structures to ensure protection of those suffering mental illness. Monitor the quality of subsequent trainings and the curriculum, providing guidance and modifying the program as needed. Collaborate with local and regional officials and UN and other NGO agencies to promote effective coordination of health services Compile information and prepare written reports as necessary Support the IMC team in realization the overall project objectives. Organize different program events including MH campaigns, sensitization sessions, etc… Assist the PHC staff in creating a clinical mental health service that is integrated into their working week, through specially allocated clinical time or an equivalent mechanism. Respond to psychiatric emergencies in conjunction with PHC staff. Organize public awareness and de-stigmatization campaigns around mental health issues with support from local staff including refugee volunteers. Support refugee volunteers in the development of psychosocial activities in the community attached to the PHC programme Represent IMC as requested in various sessions including cluster and working group meetings Work collaboratively with other agencies, local and international and with relevant government bodies Implement other activities as per the direction of the mental health program manager. Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities ·         Ability to cope with stress; hardship; patience and flexibility. ·         Ability to effectively work with government, community leaders, international/national organizations, donors, partners and other International Medical Corps relationships. ·         Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English.  Advanced proficiency in the use of MS Office, Email and other computer applications ·         Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with colleagues in course of work. ·         Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines. ·         Ability and willingness to work in refugee camps where the project is implemented ·         Demonstrated experience and skills in ensuring community participation and mobilization in humanitarian programming ·         Lead and responsible for the MHPSS intervention at the camp under his/her supervision. ·         Create smooth relation and collaboration with IPs working in the camp. ·         Ensure implementation of all MHPSS planned activities upon expected quality and schedule at all levels. ·         Undertake assessment to identify gap and status of mental health intervention in the camp. ·         Provide technical support for mental health officer and ARRA health workers on proper and quality service provision.

For USAID project focusing on highly vulnerable children in Ethiopia, FHI 360 is seeking qualified candidate for the position of Economic Strengthening Technical Officer to be based in Addis Ababa (for Central Cluster) Position Description The USAID Caring for Vulnerable Children Activity (CVC) project, a five-year project led by FHI 360 that aims to reach a minimum of 325,000 orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) who are living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS, the  Economic Strengthening Regional Program Officer (ESRPO) will be responsible for coordinating and leading the implementation at a regional level of economic strengthening (ES) activities to assist vulnerable households (HHs) to properly and sustainably care for, safeguard, and support the development of OVC in their care. This will include working with adolescents (especially females) to expand their economic toolkits – especially savings – so they can pursue post-secondary education and/or sustainable livelihoods. Job DescriptionJSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) is implementing Health Management Information System (HMIS) and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Scale-up Project in Ethiopia. The HMIS and M&E Scale-up Project is funded by USAID and was established with the purpose of assisting the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) in general and the Southern Nations, Nationalities and People's & Oromia Regional health bureaus in particular to efficiently scale-up the reformed HMIS and efficiently use health information for evidence based decision-making.In addition, the project provides technical and financial support to Federal HAPCO especially in the implementation of Multi-Sectoral Response Information System (MRIS) in SNNP and Oromia regions.Summary of ResponsibilitiesThe Officer provides technical support to the overall functioning of DHIS2, EMR and other eHealth software.
