Access Accounting Services is looking for Accounting Analysts for their client in Washington DC. The candidates need to have extensive experience in G/L.
Duration: 12 months Plus
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data and identify how such information will impact G/L.
• Secondary mortgage market experience or Financial Services experience preferred.
• Experience analyzing Cash flows is required.
• Experience with operational accounting required (monthly/quarterly close, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations).
• Public accounting and/or accounting operations experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA or CPA in progress strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel and Access preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL is a preferred
• Ability to analyze and report on large amounts of data in queries and spreadsheets.
• Understanding of SOX and operational controls, and GAAP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment is required.
• Self-starter mentality, ability to work independently, and motivation to learn new techniques, skills, and knowledge.
