Our client, a non-profit organization, is looking for a PCU Communications Officer to join their team and work on their advocacy communication. The successful candidate will develop and deliver communication strategies and support internal and external communications. Your main responsibilities will be to: Development of a communication and Maintenance of communication and advocacy strategy Provide strategy direction for the project communication strategy Recieve from field associates and directly collect IEC materialsCapacity building among implementing organizationsWork closely with external consultants for the implementation of the project Identify main media channel for communications and collaborate with media partners Monitor communication strategy Document events, participate and interview stakeholders Internal project communicationDesign and produce communication material (web-based, electronic, video and print) for effective communications for visibility, fundraising and advocacy Serve as an internal point of communication for and support flow of information between consortium members and provide creative and timely information on key project areas.Ensure consortium members design and implement their communication activities in line with the agreed project standards (i.e. branding guidelines and templates).Establish what kind of visibility is needed and at what stage. This should be through discussions with implementing partners and German partners.Assist in the production of reports by providing relevant documentation, stories and photographs amongst other communication material. External communicationManage information flow to the wider sector players at national and international level. And ensure the timely and consistent production of information, to reach a wide audience.Develop a good understanding of the different government bodies and civil leaders involved in the project sectors and how partners interact with them.Consult and network with relevant stakeholders as needed to ensure that their key communication needs are met, in compliance with agreed standards, policies and priorities.Ensure social media content about the project is aligned between all Ethiopian and German organisations (hashtags, mentions etc.)Support in the preparation of presentations and accompany donor and stakeholder visits when requiredCapacity building Identify capacity building/training needs of consortium staff in terms of communication and train staff on the communication strategy and on effective communication.Prepare consortium members for key media opportunities (i.e. interviews, talks and events). Other ad hoc responsibilities and assigned duties
