The Health Nutrition Team leader is responsible for the overall leadership in planning, executing, and coordinating the efforts of team members and stakeholders in order to deliver the health and nutrition activities in line with the ISHI-NE project proposal and plan. The Health and Nutrition Team leader will manage and define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout the completion of the project’s life cycle. They will also create work plans based on the goals of the project, implement evidence-based interventions in multi-sector areas and collaborate with other sectors to create integrated work plans and budgets that are essential for the success of the project. Additionally, the Health and Nutrition Team leader will take lead on ensuring the Health and Nutrition activities are in line with the fhi360 guideline and RHB protocols and cluster coordination.In this particular context, the Crisis Response Team requires the services of a highly skilled Health and Nutrition Staff to support the coordination of Health and Nutrition activities in Amhara region, Ethiopia.     Roles and responsibilities
    Supervision of Warehousing and inventory management

    Manage UNICEF warehouse facilities and operations in line with UNICEF policies and procedures. Assess warehousing capacity including facilities, conditions of equipment, manpower, and processes. Propose corrective actions to the supervisor. Assess new warehouse facilities when required. If necessary, implement and organize new warehouse facilities which may include installation and assembly of temporary warehouse structures (e.g., Wiik-Halls/Rub Halls).
    Maintain appropriate warehousing and inventory management processes in support of the country program implementation. Ensure accurate and complete accounting, reporting, and internal control systems are in place, and relevant records are properly maintained.
    Assess the availability of space and prepare stacking and storage plans to ensure appropriate storage and optimize the use of space.
    Supervise receipt of consignments and dispatch of supplies.
    Carry out regular physical counts of inventory in the warehouse. Prepare documentation for commodity disposal through the Property Survey Board committee.
    Assess the availability of space and prepare stacking/storage plans prior to UNICEF programming/contingency commodities arrivals.

    Management of dispatch and rental transport

    Prepare dispatch schedule based on distribution plans and consignee details provided by program sections and/or release order marking for every warehouse stock item regularly.
     Coordinate with the contracted transport company on the need for types and numbers of truck requirements to distribute supplies as per dispatch scheduled on a timely basis.
    Organize and handle monitoring system for collection of government receipts (Model 19s) and provide quarterly report on a regular basis.
    The vision inventory database is accurate, maintained properly and updated regularly.
    Supervise performance of Daily Laborers and the security guards and guide how to handle incoming and outgoing supplies and persons during and after working hours. Report on irregularities when observed.

    Collaboration with program and implementing partners

    In collaboration with the supervisor, develop close collaboration with program sections through involvement in programme design, planning, and preparation for the implementation of supply components as well as monitoring and evaluation. Establish an accountability framework with programs, for the delivery of results for children.
    Support assessment of and collaboration with implementing partners including civil society, establishment of Programme Cooperation Agreements (PCAs), and monitoring of supply components under Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfers (HACT).
    Participate in events/meetings that build partnerships and collaborative relations with Government, UN organizations and bilateral counterparts in supply and logistics activities including harmonized and collaborative procurement.

    Manage UNICEF warehouse facilities and operations in line with UNICEF policies and procedures. Assess warehousing capacity including facilities, conditions of equipment, manpower, and processes.     Supervise receipt of consignments and dispatch of supplies.
    Carry out regular physical counts of inventory in the warehouse. Prepare documentation for commodity disposal through the Property Survey Board committee.

    To Carry out fixed asset count and update fixed asset register TechnoServe is planning to implement a cloud asset management software to manage and track all existing assets found at different locations in Ethiopia. Part of the process is to clear, update and prepare existing and new records of data to be used for the software. The data encoder is responsible for this task.

    The ideal candidate is responsible for updating and maintaining asset information on spreadsheets in a way that could be imported to asset management systems. S/he is responsible for collecting and entering all assets (an estimate of more than 2,100 in number) in a spreadsheet and maintaining accurate records of current asset information. At the end of the contract we need to have complete and accurate records of all asset information.

          4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

    Maintain and operate quality and efficient communication services with admin and other cross functioning staffs.
    Insert all asset types’ information (electronics, furniture, accessories, vehicles, etc) by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents and physical locations within a specific time duration (3 months).
    Identify and record all required information (Name, Brand, Model, Tag ID, Serial Number, purchase date, price, location, custodian, condition etc… ) for each specific item according to the templates prepared for this purpose.
    Participate in the 5S process (Sort, Straighten, Shine, and Standardize & Sustain) to clean out our assets and document them in the proper format.
    Document clearly assets that will be donated, discarded or will be shifting to different locations.
    Compile, verify accuracy and sort asset information to prepare source data for importing to the software system.
    Work with Admin, IT and regional Admin teams to deliver on their tasks
    Collect, record and verify asset information by traveling to branch offices.

    USAID Eliminate TB Project is a five-year USAID-funded project with the goal of reducing TB incidence and mortality by improving the quality, access, utilization, and sustainability of TB services. This project builds on the work of previous USAID activities (Challenge TB, HEAL TB, TB Care, and others) that have been supporting the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Program (NTLP) to achieve the millennial development goals (MDG) and END TB Strategies/milestones. ETBE’s support focuses on improving access and utilization to quality and patient-centered comprehensive TB services.

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
    The TB/COVID-19 Coordinator for COVID-19 Vaccines Supply Management and Safety Monitoring will be responsible for providing technical support on the effective design and implementation of vaccine supply management and safety monitoring guides and tools. In addition, the coordinator will be responsible in coordinating different stakeholders at national and subnational levels including making sure that all government employees involved in this issue are well-trained on implementation tools.
     
    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
     
    The TB COVID Coordinator is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

    Provide TB and COVID-19-related activities and facilitate its bidirectional screening, testing, and linking to care.
    Lead the development and endorsement of the TB-COVID-19 integration Standard Operating Procedure, and implementation guide.
    Attend and coordinate meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Health and Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority (EFDA) and Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals and Supply Agency (EPSA) and Regional Health Bureaus (RHBs), USAID, GHSC-PSM and other implementing partners; with the aim of creating resource leverage, obtaining up-to-date information and on time problem solving.
    Review existing regulatory documentation on cold chain storage, distribution, and records, capacity, investment plans, and limitations.
    Conduct in-country and virtual interviews for detailed information on the current logistical situation of COVID-19 vaccination logistics.
    Prepare a complete report with the results of the rapid assessment to be carried out for the capacity and storage conditions of vaccines. The report should include, but is not limited to, storage and distribution capacity calculations, process and recording of logistics information and temperatures, as well as recommendations for actions to be implemented, in the short and medium term, with a specific schedule, responsible and expected results.
    Provide support in technical decisions and discussions around strengthening the capacity and visibility of information systems, for logistics management, inventories and temperatures.
    Provide support in technical decisions for the logistics of inputs for mass vaccination campaigns.
    Provide support on updating/developing Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) and Adverse Events of Special Interest (AESI) tools, provide training on these tools, avail training resources that personnel can quickly access, and ensure continuous reporting of cases
    Provide TA on tracking proper storage, inventory levels, and stockout risk analysis to make timely supply chain decisions.
    Support EFDA to develop Risk Management Plans (RMPs) and establish structures for proper implementation and follow-up
    Update pharmacovigilance surveillance systems and processes for improved quality, efficiency, and transparency for safe use of COVID-19 vaccines
    Support shock affected areas in accessing vaccination and TB integration in key affected population groups
    Advocate/support for integrated TB-COVID programming within the HEP- specifically in promoting community-level Active TB-COVID-19 screening campaigns, Contact tracing, and community/HH management of ambulatory patients.
    Advocate for the establishment of TB-COVID-19 performance tracking systems at different levels
    Provide regular performance updates on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

     
     
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Qualifications:

    Advanced degree in pharmacy, supply chain, or related fields; advanced degree preferred.
    Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in COVID-19 pandemic response from supply chain perspectives, safety monitoring, and cold chain management; USAID experience preferred.
    Significant experience in the country’s public health supply chain management and regulatory systems its regulations.
    Proven experience in providing technical assistance to public health supply chain strengthening activities as well as drug safety monitoring
    Proven experience in cold chain processes, storage and distribution with pharmaceuticals and/or vaccines.
    Demonstrated ability to work with partners in implementing complex programs.
    Skilled in actively working in high-performing teams and independently delivering the expected result
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    Fluency in English required.
    Has a certificate of completion in COVID-19 vaccine supply management
    Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.

At the end of the contract we need to have complete and accurate records of all asset information.

          4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

    Maintain and operate quality and efficient communication services with admin and other cross functioning staffs.
    Insert all asset types’ information (electronics, furniture, accessories, vehicles, etc) by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents and physical locations within a specific time duration (3 months).
    Identify and record all required information (Name, Brand, Model, Tag ID, Serial Number, purchase date, price, location, custodian, condition etc… ) for each specific item according to the templates prepared for this purpose.
    Participate in the 5S process (Sort, Straighten, Shine, and Standardize & Sustain) to clean out our assets and document them in the proper format.
    Document clearly assets that will be donated, discarded or will be shifting to different locations.
