Finance Officer
Job Background:

Today the school offers Preschool, Primary and Lower Secondary and has around 150 children ranging from 3 to 14 years old. The Swedish Community School provides education in English in accordance with the Swedish Curriculum, LGR 11, for compulsory school.





Primary Responsibilities: 

Maintain financial records and reports for all accounts in the school
Monitor funds based on a budget
Manage petty cash accounts
Submit salaries for payment
Coordinate with purchasing staff to ensure smooth purchasing procedures.

Compensation:
The position will be compensated with a competitive salary, based on school standards of pay, experience and qualifications 
 

Job Requirements:



Essential knowledge- skill requirements:

High degree of communication skills
Ability to maintain sound working relationships with internal staff and external vendors.
Autonomous and well organized with ability to meet tight deadlines.
Command of written and spoken English and Amharic languages
Command of accounting skills 

Minimum Essential Qualification:

Minimum of Bachelors of Arts in Accounting and Finance
2 years in the accounting field 
Work experience from community schools and NGO’s is highly desirable
