Headquartered at Los Angeles, California, USA, AHF is striving to replicate such achievents to countries like Ethiopia so that needy citizens get the chance to benefit from the program.To deliver the said services effectively and efficiently, AHF wishes to recruit a dynamic, skilled, committed, self-driven, and result oriented professionals to fill required positions.Job SummaryThe Data Officer is responsible for generating accurate information, quality reports and analyzing data as required. S/he will ensure safety and retrieval of data at the designated site. The position will also supervise Data Entry Clerks to ensure high quality of data and mainatin functionality of the medical records management systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide data management and clerical support to AHF-Ethiopia and AHF-supported sites to ensure that the data is well maintained with maximum quality and confidentiality through both electronic and hard copies with an organized filling and storage systems to enable easy retrievalEnsure that the Medical Records System and other data systems are functional to support quality assurance, validity, accuracy and integrity of the program dataProduces weekly, monthly, and quarterly analyzed and informative reports and makes submission of reports according to AHF PPR standards and to government standardsReview data for accuracy, completeness, and identifying errors for cleaning and lead data audit and validation activities at AHF and AHF supported facilitiesEnsure that data is captured in the HMIS tools in an accurate and timely mannerEnsuring availability of required HMIS tools i.e. registers, forms, guidelines and any other relevant tools and ensure that updating of both the ART and Pre-ART Registers and any related tools is doneMentor data clerks and clinic staff on how to collect and report HMIS data and provides timely feedback to data queries including data inconsistencies or missing dataClosely work with the medical and prevention team in assuring data quality control and quality improvement in all the operation areas of AHFWork with the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and other teams to support program monitoring, evaluation, planning and data quality assuranceAssures protection of the systems and data by performing at least one system back upAssists when and where requested in developing improved patient records managementAttends required data management trainings, meetings and provides input to enhance data systemsOrganize and provide refresher trainings to data clerks, temporary staffs, and others who may have direct or indirect relation to data collection, analysis, and utilization
