The person will mainly work out of our office and lab in Addis Ababa being responsible for maintaining and developing our customer base. Manage customer and producer relations. Manage procurement and sales contracts. It will at times be extensive travelling to coffee producing regions with clients and to follow up farmers, producers and exporters. Manage client visits in Ethiopia and samples sending out to clients. The position will also require international travelling to consuming markets to actively promote Tropiq Ethiopia and our coffees. The person have to be excellent in building relations, great organizing skills, very systematic and practical with good management skills. The position requires experience in coffee trade and a basic insight and a good understanding of the global market for specialty coffee, grading, export and logistics. The position will be developed over time but in short it will mainly consist of the following: Admin related General reporting and updates to Operations manager and HQ (Oslo) Responsible for contracting Responsible for implementing systems for trace ability, QC and procurement/contracting Responsible for developing and maintaining CRM for sales and client management. Product related Plan the upcoming seasons with producers/exporters etc in cooperation with operations managerBe engaged in and potentially structure agronomy training, special preparation of coffee and so on in cooperation with operations manager. Building trust and a strong relation towards our main suppliers and exporters together with operations manager. Find and develop new farmer/producer projects. Cup and understand coffee processing and coffee quality. Update and improve fact sheets and marketing material from all our producers Create picture database etc for marketing Develop content etc for web sites, marketing material, social media strategy and management (with support from HQ in Norway) Management and reporting on potential future funded projects Update and improve fact sheets and marketing material from all our producers Create picture database etc for marketing Develop content etc for web sites, marketing material, social media strategy and management (with support from HQ in Norway) and reporting on potential future funded projectsDuring harvest (October - January) Product development – be on site for selected projects with specialpreparation of coffee and so on.Do experiments and develop quality protocols, innovate and improveproduction of quality.General overview of what’s going on at sites and regional status, incomingcherries etc at washing stations.
