Junior Accountant
Senselet Food Processing is a start-up company, looking for ambitious, eager-to-learn and talented employees who want to take responsibility and accountability in actively build our company and brands. Senselet is a Dutch-owned company making potato-based snacks and food products for the Ethiopian market and aims to become a leading food processing company. Currently, our modern processing facility, using the latest European processing technology, is located in Tulofa (65 km from Addis Ababa).
Targets and deliverables:
Manage factory petty cash and replenish on a monthly basis
Organize overall company petty cash payments and preparation of petty cash replenishment by Cheque
Coordinate with factory store and control daily generated stock movements
Provide any input from factory to finance which is relevant to decision making
Implementing compliance to ERCA and other tax related items in the factory
Prepare and Follow up payment Transfers and collecting Advices, statements and other related documents.
Ensuring all cash receipts from Vendors are collected and attached to the respective documents before providing the cheque.
Ensuring all payment documents are properly filled and support for smooth audit trials.
Insure all documents are stamped, signed and documented properly
Other duties given by his/her supervisor
Organizational structure
Reporting to: Finance manager
Place of work: Addis Ababa (three working days at factory)
Start date: As soon as possible
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Minimum Diploma/BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience for a private organization in a finance.
Candidates are required to have good references.
Candidates who have worked for an international company are preferred.
Technical skills:
Fluent in Amharic and English (speaking and writing), good financial knowledge and skills, strong administration skills, strong knowledge on Ethiopian rules & regulations, strong computer skills, very good planner.
Social skills:
Good leadership skills, high level of integrity and accountability, able to adapt and show leadership under challenging circumstances, serious and hard-working, eager to learn, good feedback mentality, good communications skills, structured.
