These values and principles include commitment to the mission of Save the Children international, team orientation, quality management and leadership development, introducing systems and procedures to strengthen staff motivation and productivity. The post holder will be responsible for overall planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and review of livelihoods, natural resources and DRR related components of the RESET II Multi-sector and Integrated Community Based Resilience Building Project in Afar. S/he will be expected to work closely with the target communities; the project team, area offices and respective operational district and regional level stakeholders. S/he will be responsible for the timely implementation of all the planned Livelihoods, NRM and DRR activities as per the approved project document; and government and donor requirements and Save the Children standards.   Reports to: RESET-II project manager  KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: This post focuses on emergency/humanitarian programming, but will be expected to contribute to SCI’s dual mandate and support as needed in both emergencies and development settings.   ·         Ensure that the Natural Resources management cash for work activities including water schemes rehabilitation and maintenance works, livestock health, income generation activities are implemented according to the approved donor and government agreements. ·         Develop plans to incorporate the livelihoods, natural resources ·         Carry out baseline assessment with partners and project staffs on the natural resources base of all operational districts and prepare documents for further planning and incorporation in the community plan (monthly, quarterly and annual) ·         Provide technical support to woreda governments where FSL capacity building activities implemented ·         Plan, implement, monitor and review the implementation of natural resources management activities such range land and water management. ·         Prepare and maintain records, documents and control plans for the monitoring of projects/ program implementation. Prepare bi weekly and monthly implementation works plans. ·         Supervise the implementation of the project following the established procedures and mechanisms for deployment of material to affected areas. ·         Work with community and local partners in promotion of fodder production and traditional range land management including drought reserve e initiatives. ·         Provide technical advice, training and support to community facilitator, partners and community to ensure that activities are carried out on timely manner. ·         Ensure work plan relates closely to the regular updated project work plan guiding the project implementation and progress towards completion. ·         Prepare action plans jointly with project staffs and government and other stakeholder for monitoring, review and periodic project reporting. ·         Prepare monthly, quarterly, intermediate and final reports and submit to the supervisor.     Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
