Nuru International Ethiopia is a US-based international NGO working to end extreme poverty in remote rural communities in Ethiopia. Nuru is currently implementing integrated development project in GamoGofa Zone, SNNPR. Ares of intervention include Agriculture, Rural Livelihoods Diversification, Healthcare and Education. All four thematic areas work through local Grain Marketing Cooperatives. S/he will establish and support Care Groups under the cooperatives and thereby create a medium of learning and sharing healthy message among Nuru Household mothers. This is a field based position that demands ability and/or willingness to ride motorbikes and walk within rural communities. S/he expected to ensure care group health service and training related activities focused on Maternal and child health (Ensuring Nuru Households healthcare services utilization and develop behavioral change materials on maternal and child health care). This position will directly report technically to the healthcare Program Manager. We are looking for someone who is passionate for changing lives of rural women and children and willing to commit her/his time and expertise for Nuru’s mission of ending extreme poverty working as a member of a dedicated team.Responsibilities: Establish  and strengthen care groups activitiesSupport, supervise and evaluate care group promotersGive field based training for care group promotersEnsure Care Group Volunteer  leaders cascaded training to Nuru neighbor householdsCollect monthly community based monitoring data from the care group promoter & timely Quality checking of care group databasePrepare BCC/IEC materials related with CMNCH and ensure implementation of health messagesModify curriculum with the collaboration of the HC/LDR(healthcare/leadership) teamFollow up and ensure health behaviors are implemented at household level and health service utilization by Nuru farmer (E.g.- institutional delivery, antenatal care, postnatal care, Modern family planning and etc. )Organize and facilitate trainings as scheduled through the yearWorking closely & smoothly with stakeholders(Woreda, HC,HP and community)Regular planning and reporting and response for line managerWorking in integration with Nuru impact programs.Creating work process for promoters to impact Care Group intervention & to carry out their job in 48 hours per weekUndertake assignments that are given by the Healthcare program managerJob start date:  ImmediatelyReport to:  Health Care Program ManagerTerms and conditions:  The appointment will be for long-term fixed employment base on annual contract extensions depending on performance Benefit Packages:  Transport allowance, housing allowance and medical coverage
