VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT VIS/010/2018 VIS-Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo is an International NGO based in Rome, Italy, and accredited by Charities and Societies Agency of Ethiopia as a Foreign Charity in accordance with the Charities & Societies Agency proclamation No. 621/2009 (accreditation n. 0005 issued on 8th October 2009). VIS Ethiopia is seeking a candidate for the post of Field Coordinator of the 3 years project: S.M.A.R.T – Integrated Intervention in “Sanitation Marketing, Agriculture, Rural Development and Transformation” in Gambella Region. The project is funded by the Italian Agency for Cooperation to Develompent, it is lead by AMREF Health Africa Onlus, and it is realized in partnership with Salesians of Don Bosco Ethiopia and Ethiopian Catholic Church – Social and Development Commission of Gambella. Job Title Field Coordinator Location Gambella and Karmi Career level Senior level (5+ years experience) Vacancy Announcement No. VIS/010/2018 Number of Post One (1) Gender Male/Female (Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply) Duty Station Gambella Terms of Employment Full-time One year contract renewable from 1st September 2018 Salary & Benefits As per the organization’s salary scale Closing date 15th July 2018 Main Responsibilities and specific tasks include but not limited to the following: § Ensure the implementation of the project is done in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the donor and the lead agency; § Organize weekly and monthly action plans to meet the objectives of the project; § Establish and maintain professional working relationships with the main partners, with the donors, NGOs (both local and international), and relevant government authorities; § Conduct regular monitoring visits as per VIS’s standards; § Provide VIS Addis Ababa Office weekly, monthly and quarterly narrative and financial reports, following the donor guidelines; § Ensure capacity building of the partner’s project staff and transfer key skills; § Maintain regular contact with other international and local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and government officials working to serve as a network for obtaining and coordinating information regarding current and future work in the area; § Facilitate effective communication with VIS main office, partners and stakeholders; § Assist with new projects design and proposals writing. Logistics and administrative management for the program § Follow-up the budget application process with the lead agency and the partners; § Prepare the purchase requests and submit them to the administrative department for approval; § Provide support and advise partners in implementing the project activities and budgets, including procurement; § Ensure request of funds from partners are submitted and reviewed in a timely manner; § Manage and monitor project finance and budget; maintain strong control on budget ensuring spending within available resources and in compliance with the donor’s and VIS’ guidelines;
