Job description: Individuals holding the financial analyst position with HST will have the following major responsibilities: Based on the requirements of the consultancy project at hand: Identify the type of data/information required to conduct a proper financial analysisIdentify and approach the potential sources of the required data and secure the same from these sourcesClean and prepare the data for analysisAnalyze the collected financial and other data and create financial models for decision supportAnalyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends with the view of making recommendations for improvementsEvaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecastsProvide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommended actions for optimizationStudy proposed changes in work processes and business models and assess their financial implicationsRecommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data related to alternative options and making comparative analyses
