Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Action Contre La Faim -Ethiopia Organization: Action Contre la Faim France Country: Ethiopia Closing date: 14 Jul 2018 We are looking for: A NUTRITION & HEALTH HEAD OF DEPARTMENT Country: ETHIOPIA – Addis Ababa Length of Contract: 3 Months starting as soon as possible** The Position: Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director Program, you will be responsible to ensure the development and design of the nutrition & health country strategy and quality programming in line with ACF and country technical policies. More precisely, you will in charge to:** Design and update Nutrition & Health country strategy, identify new opportunities and develop new projects.** Design and revise the Nutrition & Health country strategy; Continually review new opportunities in terms of needs and strategies Organize and implement need’s assessments both in development & emergency contexts Develop logical frame work analysis (LFA) for all new nutrition & health projects Develop the full proposal document for donors (narrative and budget). Develop tools/approaches to monitor and evaluate ACF nutrition & health project implementation Adapt or develop if necessary tools to monitor nutrition & health activities Adapt or develop if necessary periodic assessment and reporting templates Adapt and develop if necessary tools for evaluation and impact assessment of the project Plan and implement regular project monitoring and evaluation activities (internal and/or external evaluation) Validate technically plans, reports and other project-related documents Technically review and advise field coordinators and nutrition & health program managers Contribute technically to prepare high quality reports/ project Represent ACF with external stakeholders Work in coordination with the others actors present in the country involved in nutrition & health programs Represent ACF in external technical / coordination meetings and develop ACF representation in the network Write and develop nutrition & health country specific position papers Coordinate with regional, national and international partners Represent in meeting with donors or regional authorities for implementation of programs Build the technical capacity of the nutrition teams Bring technical support to the nutrition & health teams Validate the HR needs in the nutrition & health department Participate in recruitment processes and give technical inputs on evaluation Identify technical skills development needs Organize and conduct training sessions and any other capacity building activities Other tasks as required and assigned. Ensure gender mainstreaming in the activities Ensure protection mainstreaming in the activities The Applicant: You hold a Master degree in Public Health, Medicine or Nursing with 5 years minimum of professional experience and 2 years prior experience in a similar position. You are recognized for your technical expertise in nutrition & health programming and experience in project cycle management and integrated approaches. You have a strong ability to provide technical support in project proposal development and in conducting needs assessments. You have as well strong skills in capacity-building development. Excellent diplomacy, negotiation and representation skills are required thus team management experience. Your English is fluent (spoken and written). Status: Employee Contract: 3 months fixed term contract under french legislation Remuneration and benefits: · Monthly gross salary from €1805 to €2305 upon experience. · Per diem and living allowance: 499 € (cf eurocost) net, field paid. · + 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen. · + Child allowance, limited to 5 children.
