United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)Finance Associate (two positions)The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to hire two Finance Associates, who ensure effective execution of financial services and processes in the CO and transparent utilization of financial resources. The Finance Associates promote a client-oriented approach consistent with UNDP rules and regulations. The Finance Associates work in close collaboration with the other staff members in the Finance Unit and operations, programme and projects staff in the CO and with UNDP HQs staff for resolving finance-related issues and information exchange.Contract type: Fixed Term Appointment (G6) - *Fixed Term Appointment is a staff contractual modality.Duration: One year (renewable).Qualification and experience: Secondary Education with specialized certification in Accounting and Finance. University Degree in Business or Public Administration would be desirable, but it is not a requirement.Interested applicants must have at least six years of progressively responsible finance experience (three years with bachelor’s Degree) and experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word. Excel, etc.), advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages and experience in handling of web-based management systems. Professionally qualified accountants from an internationally recognized institute of accountancy will have a distinct advantage. UNDP Advanced Accountancy & Finance Test Certification is required.
