United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)Programme Analyst- GovernanceThe United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to hire a Programme Analyst - Governance, who ensures effective management of UNDP governance programmes and projects. He/ she will conduct political and governance analysis and trends that impact on UNDP’s programming. He/she provides policy and technical advisory services to government counterparts as well as UNDP. The Programme Analyst also promotes and advocates for UNDP’s global mandates and priorities related to the thematic issues.Contract type: Fixed Term Appointment (NOB) - *Fixed Term Appointment is a staff contractual modality.Duration: One year (renewable).Qualification and experience: B.A./Bs. or M.A./M.Sc. Degree in Governance Studies, Human Rights, Law, Public Policy Study, Political Science, Sociology or Development Studies.Interested applicants must have at least four years (two years with M.A./M.Sc. Degree) of experience at national or international level in providing management/technical advisory services; hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of governance projects; demonstrated experience in governance and/public policy analysis and capacity development; deep understanding of the Ethiopian political and governance context and working level experience with Parliament, Human Rights and Election projects is an asset but not mandatory.
