Jerusalem Children and Community Development Organization (JeCCDO) is an indigenous NGO that has been working on children and community development issues in Ethiopia for more than three decades. In partnership with and the funding from Plan International Ethiopia (PIE), JeCCDO is intending to launch a project on Reduction of Child Early Forced Marriage and Sexual Reproductive Health Problems to. Adolescent Girls and Boys in Bensa, Dora and Gorchie Woredas of Sidama Zone in Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region. The project is expected to commence as of 1st July 2018 and shall continue until December 2022. In connection with this project, JeCCDO has the vacancy for the following position and invites qualified candidates to apply.Position: Project CoordinatorMajor Duties:
Coordinate the overall planning and implementation of the projectCoach and supervise Project Officers to be assigned at each target WoredaOrganize trainings, Workshops and Seminars as per the planManage the flow and utilization of the project budgetPrepare regular and progress reports to the funding Partner and other StakeholdersConduct close monitoring and follow up on the implementation and outcomes of the project in the three WoredasDocument and share the processes and lessons of the projectEstablish and manage effective partnership and collaboration among project Stakeholders
Qualification: Masters Degree in Public Health, Law, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related fields.Experience: Minimum of eight years relevant experience in working on similar or related projects. Experience in NGOs is an advantage.Required Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skillAbility to mobilize and coordinate diverse StakeholdersAdequate knowledge and awareness on child protection, reproductive health issues including notional. regional and international policies and frameworks.Good command of English and Amharic Languages both speaking and writing. Knowledge of Sidamigna Language is an advantageHaving motor bike riding license is also an advantage
Duty station: Hawassa town with frequent travels to project Woredas (Bensa, Dora and Gorchie) in Sidama ZoneCondition of employment: One year Contract with possibility of extension based on performances and continuity of the projectSalary: Negotiable
