Department Commercial   Reports to Marketing Manager Direct Reports Jr. Brand Manager JD Number RSDP/CD/JD/012 Indirect reports   Incumbents         Purpose statement Under direction of the Marketing Manager, the Category Manager has the overall responsibilities of to execute brand strategy for one or more key brands/categories through researching, developing, advertising, and promoting the brand in order to create a strong brand that increases profitability, builds customer loyalty, and increase market share for the company. SN Wt Output Responsibilities Functional and Behavioral Competence 1 35 Brand development & follow up   ·   Leading the strategic planning process for the assigned brands based on key consumer insights to enhance current portfolio and improve communication with consumers. ·   Participates in the development of the company’s long-term planning that identifies new business opportunities, markets and partners. ·   Manages the overall creative process for a single product, or group of products and services. ·   Carrying out consumer research, monitor market trends, and identify potential areas in which to invest, based upon consumer needs and spending habits. ·   Coordinates regular meetings and preparing regular reports outlining the brands’ performance. ·   Delivering internal and external presentations regarding new product introductions, marketing materials, business objective and communication strategy. ·   Prepares periodic reports outlining the brands’ performance           Results driven, Interpersonal Skills Communications skills. Professional Excellence 2 35 Product/Brand Promotion ·   Manages and coordinates the production of TV commercials, newspaper and magazine advertisements, and direct mail packs, email campaigns, websites, and exhibition stand, road shows to ensure the right message is delivered for their product or service. ·   Coordinates the development of communication materials such as catalogues, websites, brochures, packaging and in-store displays ·   Organizes events, photo shoots, launching parties, brand related meetings  ·   Participates in creative meetings, including photo and film shoots, trade show exhibitions. ·   Liaises and works closely with art designers, media buyers and printers, distribution partners, product developers to make sure the company’s brand values and image are followed.   Results driven, Interpersonal Skills Communications skills Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media 3 20 Managing & Developing Staff ·   Manages a team of junior staff who may be engaged in branding & promotion activities staff. ·   Guide internes.
