1. Job Summary


The Senior Attorney pleads cases and represents the company before judicial and quasi-judicial organs. The position holder prepares pleadings based on the legal requirements as stipulated in the civil procedure code and other relevant laws before a court of law in Ethiopia.


2. Main Duties and Responsibilities




Prepare draft pleadings including petitions, defences and other pleadings as required by the Ethiopian Civil Procedure Code


Conduct investigations and research to support cases including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.


Represent the company in oral litigation and witness examination before judicial and quasi-judicial organs


Conduct and follow up court proceedings until a final decision is rendered on the case


Open execution files and follow up the effective execution of court judgments rendered in favor of the company.


Conduct research on the causes for the legal cases and make recommendations on remedial actions


Coordinate and follow up the documentation and retrieval of court case files
