Oversee all aspects of the ERCS Emergency response operation, including field level Draught activities implementationWork closely with ERCS Management and branch staff for a coherent, effective implementation that adheres to project requirements and timelines.Monitor and report on progress of activities implementation including the provision of monthly narrative reports and BVAs.Ensure alignments of process and procedures with longer term capacity strengthening initiatives to optimize linkages.Responsible to ensure financial management procedures are adhered to, including review of financial expenditures and documents in accordance with the PCA requirements with different partners and donors.
Qualification Requirements: Second/First degree in DRM/Development Studies/ Sociology/ and related field of study and 5 years, out of which 3 years in relevant position(s).2. Qualification Requirements: Second degree in Social Science/Development Studies or other relevant field related to Emergency preparedness and response and disaster risk management or First degree in the same fields and 6/8 years related work experience, out of which 2/4 years in senior managerial position(s).3. Compiles input data for planning and participates in formulating internal control policies and procedures for administration and finance matters of the Program.Performs journalizing, posting, cross-referencing, adjusting entries, correcting entries, closing entries, determining account balances, testing accounting activities for accuracy;Carries out inventory control activities of the Program; participates in stocktaking activities of the Program;Verifies that journal entries of financial transactions agree with the entries and particulars of the respective source documents;Regularly tests account balances for overstatement, understatement, transposing, omission and other possible clerical errors to keep the book of accounts reliable and updated;Makes reference and cross-reference of all source documents to the ledger account codes, keeps and updates journal voucher register books;
