We market condoms and increase condom use among people most at risk of HIV. We increase access to clean water by selling Wuha Agar, a water disinfectant. At PSI Ethiopia we do more than simply provide products and services, we seek to create true change – buy making markets work for the poor – to increase the use of critical health products and services that are available, affordable, and desirable to the most vulnerable Ethiopian people.We are looking for a Senior Finance Officer who is motivated and enthusiastic in Finance activities and responsible for the overall verification & processing of internal documents submitted by employees & field offices. Sounds like you? Read on!Your contributionYou will work under the supervision of the Finance Manager to facilitate the Finance activities. More specifically, you will: Ensure that checks, petty cash, fuel coupons and other valuable assets are kept in safe and locked boxes and replenished on regular basis.Verify internal documents such as project and travel advances, prepayments, petty cash, transfers to field offices, advance settlements and other documents for completeness and compliance to finance policies and procedures.Ensure that adequate internal controls are implemented & adhered with regard to cash, fuel coupons, mobile prepaid cards and other impressed funds.Maintain complete records and tracking system to monitor on time settlement of project advances, staff loans including provision of adequate information and reports regarding the aging of Accounts Receivables based on PSI finance procedures.Prepare transaction documents that need to be posted in QuickBooks on a regular basis through payment vouchers & receipt voucher.Review payroll, time sheet & leave forms submitted by HR, prepare payment voucher reviewing the availability of budget and submit for posting after proper review and approval.Manage and maintain adequate record on staff provident fund, and pension accounts, reconcile on regular basis and generate a report on a monthly basis.Facilitate and assist internal as well as external auditors in their performance of Audit by providing necessary documents, information and explanation in relation to this function.Responsible for providing relevant information, documents, and reports such as tracking sheet for travel advances & its subsequent settlement, utility payments, account reconciliations etc.Supervise the cashier accountant in her/his day to day activities and assist him/her towards professional career development.
