Program Description The Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Health, with the support of the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation has been implementing programme aimed to reduce maternal and neonatal deaths. The programme focuses on providing comprehensive maternal and neonatal services in 100 selected districts by: Making available essential MNCH equipment and supplies to health facilities and health extension workers;Building capacity of health service providers through in-service training;Increasing demand for maternal and neonatal services and promote positive behaviour change by using the Health Development Army to disseminate health messages to the community; and,Examining approaches to develop effective, sustainable and scalable improvements for maternal and newborn health services. The districts are found in Amhara, Oromia, SNNPR and Tigray regions, in which the programme have been implemented. A key feature of this programme is that it will be informed by data throughout the programme years. In order to understand the impact of the programme, an end line evaluation of the programme will be conducted by the Health Systems and reproductive health Research Directorate (HSRHRD) under Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI). The Ethiopian Public health Institute, therefore would like to hire Project coordinator as a technical assistant on contractual basis for the end line survey planned to be conduct and other related project history reporting writing. The selected applicant for the vacancy will work under the supervision of Health System and Reproductive Health Research directorate of EPHI. Activities and deliverables:In order to meet the objectives of this assignment, the QEC will undertake the following activities:Preparing history of the report from Baseline, Midline, Edline and partners report.Coordinate the qualitative survey activity as per the direction of the Principal Investigator Supervise during Data collection Following and checking quality of data entry process Taking part on the data collection of the surveyStrengthen the capacity of EPHI in any qualitative data analysis software (i.e. NVIVO, ATLAS.ti, QDA, Miner, etc…)Prepare a report write up, writing history of the project using different project evaluation findings.Preparing manuscripts by the guidance of the PIPerform related activities as per the request of the directorate.General Conditions: Procedures and Logistics:Payment is monthly based salary The Project coordinator and QRC will work full time in the EPHI When the TA and QR needs to travels out of the duty station he/she will be entitled to DSAPayment will be made monthly when performance report is submitted to the Principal Investigator.Number required: - 1Employment type: - Contractual Place of work: -EPHI/Addis Ababa and possible field trip during data collection Length of Contract: -Six months with possible extensionTimeline The duration of the qualitative study coordinators will be six months from April, 2018 to Sep, 2018.
