Organization background Doctors with Africa CUAMM is an international NGOs, based in Italy, established in 1950 with the aim of supporting developing countries in their effort to build sustainable and accessible health systems. The organization’s mission is to reduce the needless loss of lives in development and emergency contexts caused by lack of effective health care, and to contribute to improve health outcomes among the most vulnerable group of the population. CUAMM, in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Health, Disease Prevention and Control Directorate, is going to implement the project “Improving the quality and accessibility of Diabetes and Hypertension prevention and care” with the primary aim of increasing the uptake of screening services for diabetes and hypertension, improving the capacity health facilities to provide specialized diagnosis services for diabetes patients and  facilitate access to curative services.Overall responsibilities of Position:The Project Officerwill be responsible for implementing activities as per approved project, in collaboration with the Project Manager.Specific Responsibilities:Monthly planning of activities in coordination and integration with other activities implemented by Doctors with Africa CUAMM Staff in the same project areaBuild the capacity of the Health Facilities involved in carrying out the project activitiesBuild the capacity of the local project partner (Ethiopian Diabetes Association) in carrying out the project activitiesFacilitate the integration of the project activities with other activities implemented by the NGO in the same areaCoordinate surveys and monthly data collectionOrganize and coordinate supervision visits to the facilities involvedPlan and organize Educational Activities in collaboration with the projects partnerMonitor and Evaluate the activities on quarterly basis providing monthly data on the conducted activitiesWrite and Submit reports on implemented activities on quarterly basisFacilitate the organization of review meetings, technical committee meetings, project coordination meetingsLink with local authorities to ensure coordination of activities with FMoH prioritiesRepresent CUAMM on meetings, forums organized by Government or Partners, when requested by the Project manager or Country ManagerAny additional  assignment, according to the position, given by the Project Manager or Country ManagerType of Employment:6 (six) months with possible extension- 45 days probation periodSalary:as per the organization salary scale /project budget (max 30,900.00 Gross Salary – Net approx. 18,000 ETB) Reports to: Project Manager and Country Manager
