The NPFS program will scale-up nature-based solutions (NBS), promote climate resilient livelihoods based on the sustainable use of biodiversity, and improve landscape governance systems. Under the direction of the NPFS Africa lead, the NPFS Ethiopia senior program manager serves as operational lead for the NPFS programming in Ethiopia, working with and providing logistical support to the Ethiopia coordinating committee. The NPFS Senior Program manager will also work closely with other NPFS staff members (across Africa and in Canada) as well as program partners and stakeholders within Ethiopia. This position will be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Given the international nature of the program, this position will require flexibility in daily hours. Frequent domestic and regional/international travel, including rural travel with limited amenities, will be required.  Principal Responsibilities (Key: A = act; A&I = act & inform; AAC = act after consultation) 1. NPFS Ethiopia Management & Coordination – The NPFS program manager (Ethiopia) willwork closely with the NPFS Africa lead to support regional programming within Ethiopia. Thiswill include:1.1. NPFS Ethiopia Leadership –work collaboratively with program partners, members, and other       stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and collaboration of program activities. [A]1.2. NPFS Ethiopia Management - Provide managerial and technical oversight to members and     partners. Manage all NPFS Program operations according to the agreed upon Program     Implementation Plan (PIP), Results Based Management (RBM) tools, and work plan.     Troubleshoot,   as needed, to prevent disruptions in daily program activities. [A]1.3. NPFS Ethiopia Support – provide logistical support for program operations and collaborate with       and assist sub-contractors and technical partners.1.4. Ethiopian Coordinating Committee – assist with the development of and provide logistical       support to the NPFS Ethiopia coordinating committee.[A]1.5. Financial Management – administer an Ethiopian budget for program activities as approved by       the NPFS Africa Lead; monitor Ethiopian program expenditures. [A]1.6. Planning - facilitate the development of annual NPFS Ethiopia work plans. [AAC]1.7. Reporting - ensure regular reporting as required for program implementation (activity reports, conference summaries, etc.).  2. NPFS Ethiopia Networking & Development – The NPFS program manager (Ethiopia) will   contribute to building and strengthening local and regional networks to further the adoption of   NPFS/NBS practice within Ethiopia. This will include:  2.1. NPFS Ethiopia Community of Practice: lead on the development and facilitation of an   Ethiopian Nature Based Solutions (NBS) Community of Practice (CoP). Document best practices   and share across Nature+ partners and the CoP.[A&I]  2.2. NPFS Ethiopia Networking: Network with national level NBS related government ministries   and technical groups, national and international research associations, social enterprises, and NGOs   and foster collaboration and coordination with these groups as warranted.[A&I]  2.3. NPFS Ethiopia Representation: Represent the NPFS program and its collective expertise [A&I3. Other DutiesParticipate in international program team meetings and events.Model harmony in the workplace and community through respectful interactions with others. Work with the M&E team to assist partners during surveys and research, as requiredMonitor potential agriculture and livelihoods funding opportunities from different donors in the country.Attend FHE meetings and events as appropriate, including team meetings and retreats.Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the NPFS Africa Lead.
