LWF World Service is the humanitarian and development arm of the Lutheran World Federation. We are a widely recognized, international, faith-based organization working in over 20 countries. Main duties and responsibilities Lead the Food Security and Livelihoods interventions planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting as per nature based solution approaches and principles;Contribute in the strategic planning, scheduling, assessments, monitoring and evaluation of the NBS+ projects;Continuously strive to improve the quality of the Food Security and Livelihoods projects in line with nature based solution approaches and principles;Promote partnership and collaboration with people of concern and primary focus groups throughout the project cycle;Provide inputs to the design & utilization of project information gathering tools & project activity manuals;Represent LWF in community meetings, food security or emergency response meetings in coordination with Project Coordinator; Monitor, evaluate and suggest changes and improvements in the project and materials based on observations and discussions with the Project Coordinator;Prepare timely Verification/Completion Certificates for all properly completed works to facilitate proper and prompt payment to Partners/contractorsKeep track of the stock levels of Food Security related materials and items and follow up on project supplies;Maintain a proper Food Security Project documents filing, retrieval and archiving systemCollect, analyze, document and share learning and best practices in the areas of Food security and livelihoods Prepare quarterly, semiannual and annual performance reports for the activities under his/her responsibility, Ensure mainstreaming of LWF Ethiopia’s cross-cutting issues of gender equity, HIV&AIDS and environmental protection, Child Protection throughout the emergency response and strengthen gender sensitivity in all activities;Ensure compliance with LWF’s policies in child rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities; Perform any other duties as assigned to him by the project coordinator or his designate.
