Vacancy: Internal/external Job title: Driver and Liaison Officer Reports to: Finance and Administration Coordinator Duty station: SNNPR and Oromia field Offices Employee condition-Contract for 1 year with possibility of extension Number of positions: 2 (Two) SALARY: as per organization Salary scale Major duties and responsibilities: Handle the motor vehicle and its accessories with due care,Take care of daily maintenance of the assigned vehicle, check oil, water, battery, brakes etc,Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs and ensure cleanliness of the vehicles, ability to keep a logbook on mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing etc. on deliveries. Provide transportation service to staff and for other authorized persons Ensures the proper functioning of the car assigned to him/her by checking before starting engine; Maintain and handle assigned vehicles, spare tires and other accessories properly and with care; Check engine oil, water level, tire pressure, fuel, etc…, before any travel and reports and ensures servicing of the assigned vehicle regularly, Check damaged or burst tires as and when required, ensures the safety and proper usage of the assigned vehicles, tools and other accessories at all times; Detect any defect of the car and reports to concerned supervisor for timely repair and maintenance; Distribute/collect letters, packages, parcels and messages on behalf of the I1D. Fill in fuel and oil consumed and kilometer readings before and after any travel on appropriate transport forms and submits same to concerned supervisor, Operate vehicles with maximum care to passengers and the vehicle and adhere to speed limits and traffic laws. Renew driving license in time and refrain from driving I1D vehicles with a license that is expired, suspended, or revoked. Report accidents to the immediate supervisor and to the nearest traffic police as soon as possible Maintain vehicle log and include all the details such as purpose of use, mileage, fuel and oil consumed, passengers carried, place of travel, business purpose, and other necessary information carefully, get it signed by the passengers (s) and submit it to the responsible personnel Assist the office In collecting and delivering letters Assist in preparation and organization of materials and Equipment for field trips and workshops, ability to do safe packing of items for transportPurchase stationery and other office suppliesAssist in photocopying, filing and other related routine activitiesPerform other duties assigned by Administration and finance coordinator and Program coordinator.
