We work to shape a future worth living in over 120 countries around the world. GIZ implements the project "Response to survivors of conflict-induced sexual and gender-based violence” in Ethiopia. The project aims to alleviate the acute needs for comprehensive and survivor-centered care that has arisen during the conflict in Ethiopia and has not yet been met to some extent. To this end, the project works according to the Leave No One Behind principle, with actors and institutions which are responsible for the care of people affected by sexual violence and ensuring the direct provision of services. The target area is selected woredas in Amhara and Afar as well as Once Stop Centers nationwide. For example, the project will contribute to strengthening the skills of the employees of healthcare facilities and procuring medical consumables to better equip the facilities. Stigmata that prevent the use of services will be addressed at municipal level. In addition, opportunities for survivors to achieve financial independence are identified and supported. Responsibilities and Tasks Responsible to support the technical, substantive, and organizational implementation of the project's measures and activities in selected woredas in Amhara and Afar regions.Responsible to establish, maintain, and nurturing networks and relationships with all relevant partners, other actors, and local organizations in Amhara and Afar regions.Facilitate coordination and collaboration between the project and relevant partners, other actors and local organizations in the target areas.In consultation with the line manager, assume tasks related to planning, steering and monitoring of the project`s activities in selected woredas in Amhara and Afar regions, including project administration tasks.Contribute to the conceptual design of the project, in particular its modification or realignment.Solve problems that arise in the own area of responsibility based on existing rules and regulations within the organization.Responsible for knowledge management and documentation of any activities or issues in the direct line of work.If required, support other experts in familiarising themselves with and performing their tasks, especially when they are visiting Amhara and Afar regions.
