Currently the company needs to hire qualified personnel for the following position: Job Summary: The Medical physicist is responsible for ensuring the radiation of medical equipment used in medical procedures are safe and effective. The medical physicist is also works to make sure the radiation equipment are operating correctly as well as with radiation safety. Medical physicist uses a range of analytical, computer-aided and bioengineering techniques in his/her work such as radiotherapy, x-ray imaging, ultrasound, radiology, and lasers. Roles and Responsibilities: Ensure medical equipment are safe, effective, and working properlyDevelop radiation safety procedures for medical equipment Consult with physician colleaguesProvide advice about radiation protection of medical equipmentTrain and update healthcare providers and technical staff on radiation safety of medical equipmentManage radiotherapy quality assurance programsMaintaining, repairing, and replacing equipment used in diagnostic imaging procedures together with other staff;Providing radiation safety training to staff members, students, and other personnel who will be working with ionizing radiation sources;Conducting research to improve existing medical imaging technologiesEvaluating medical imaging equipment for safety and effectivenessConducting radiation safety inspections at hospitals and other facilities to ensure compliance with federal regulationsPerforming quality assurance on medical equipmentproviding advice about radiation protectionPlanning and writing reports
