Vacancy No. 001/2018OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:The Driver provides driving service for project staff, consultants and other visitors.  He or she provides for or performs maintenance for assigned vehicle, maintains all records for the vehicles, and performs administrative tasks as assigned. The Driver is aware of, and adheres to, MSH’s procurement integrity standards in all activities.SPECFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for proper maintenance, care and cleanliness of assigned vehicle on a daily basis. Drives project staff members, consultants and other individuals on project business.  Provides transportation to and from the airport, hotel, project sites, on field trips, and other locations as assigned.  Demonstrate professional driving competence during the trip (drive at a safe speed, drive carefully around people, carts, and animals, apply brakes appropriately, respect other drivers, etc.)Develop and maintain good working relationships with all project personnel and passengers.  Maintain neat and clean professional appearance.  Provide timely and friendly support.  Accurately records and maintains detailed record of trips including kilometers traveled, fuel consumed and cost, and dates of oil changes, all according to established procedure.Perform all duties in accordance with organizations and donors policies and procedures, and comply with all local regulations for the operation of motor vehicle.Arrange for repairs and regularly scheduled maintenance of the vehicle using pre-selected garages.  Work with procurement unit if obligated to purchase spare parts.  Perform minor repairs as needed.Ensure that all regulations are following in case of accidents and that required paper work is submitted.  Ensure all repairs are completed timely.Ensure that the vehicle has all required registrations/licensing and inspections, and that necessary documentation is retained with the vehicle.Ensure vehicle has sufficient amount of fuel, maintain the vehicles’ cleanliness, and ensure its security for daily use and proper evening and weekend storage at office or hotel site.Provide administrative and logistical assistance to project and COMU staff as assigned when not occupied with driving and vehicle maintenance duties while at home base and in the field.  Runs errands as required (pick up and deliver goods or documents, etc… as assigned)Pass eye exam every two years and provide results to the fleet unit. Maintain driver’s license and provide updated copy of license to the fleet unit.   Report any violations/tickets (on or off-duty) or change in status to the fleet unit. Take appropriate precautions when driving conditions are hazardous. (This includes but is not limited to dust storms, fog, heavy rain conditions).Inspect vehicles for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submit a written report on the condition of the vehicle to respective supervisors.To complete and submit monthly Log Sheet summary, along with the daily log book summary to immediate supervisor for further analysis / vehicle performance reporting.Assist in other activities assigned by supervisor REPORTS TO:  Regional Finance and Admin Manager
