<p><span style="font-weight: bold;">Vacancy No. 010/2017</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: bold;">OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p> <p>The Zonal Project Cluster Coordinator is the lead technical TB expert for the Challenge TB Project at Zonal level.&nbsp; S/he will serve as technical expert who will provide technical support to the ZHD, WoHO, health facilities and health posts. He/she will also represent Challenge TB in zonal and woreda technical meetings. He/she will coordinate trainings for the zone, conduct supervisions, and organize review meetings. He/she will also participate in planning, supportive supervisions, monitoring and evaluation of the project in his/her cluster of zones.</p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold;">SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p> <ul><li>Develop close working relationships with ZHD, Woreda health offices, EQA centers, health facilities and other stakeholders that have responsibility for strengthening and improving tuberculosis control and prevention program</li><li>Serve as a technical resource person who will provide technical support to ZHD, WoHOs and health facilities to coordinate TB control and prevention program activities</li><li>Support ZHDs and WoHO in Woreda based health sector planning and ensure the alignment of project plan with Woreda plan</li><li>Support Zonal/Woreda TB focal persons in quarterly planning, implementation and monitoring of comprehensive TB activities including community TB care </li><li>Coordinate targeted supervision to MDR TB treatment initiation and follow up centers and other health facilities and health posts that required focused mentoring and supervision</li><li>Support Woreda TB officers to conduct regular supportive supervision and EQA slide randomization for DOTS sites</li><li>Support ZHD and WoHO to ensure timely recording, documentation, collection and reporting of comprehensive TB activities</li><li>Support ZHDs and WoHOs to conduct regular training needs assessment and coordinate gap filling trainings</li><li>Work with Zonal and Woreda TB focal persons on lost to follow up tracing and referral status to ensure tracing of lost to follow-ups</li><li>Assist Zonal/Woreda TB focal persons to strengthen and coordinate an effective referral system of TB patients between health facilities and&nbsp; health posts</li><li>Assist the ZHD, WoHO and health facilities in presumptive MDR TB case identification, organize sample transportation, facilitate the treatment start up and follow up of MDR TB patients. </li><li>Work with Zonal and woreda TB focal persons to effectively address operational challenges such as equipment breakdowns, drug stock-outs, training needs, and drug supply issues </li><li>&nbsp;Support Zonal/Woreda TB focal persons to assess the availability of TB infection control plan, TB IC implementation and monitoring of TB infection control at different level. </li><li>Ensure the availability and utilization of&nbsp; case detection SOPs, TBL guidelines, HMIS tools, IPLS tools and other TB program supplies at Woreda and health facility level&nbsp; </li><li>Regularly collect, enter and report Woreda data, HF SOC data and other reports as needed, and produce one best practice/ success story report per quarter in collaboration with Woreda TB officers and ZHD experts. </li><li>Assist zonal/Woreda health offices in the implementation of GDF drug kit system and reagent consumption, and the overall drug supply and management system. </li><li>Support Zonal/Woreda TB focal persons and HFs to smoothly implement community-based DOTs to ensure proper adherence and treatment compliance </li><li>Assist ZHD and WoHO in the proper implementation of IPT for children under five years who are contacts of TB patients </li><li>Manage minor financial payment when there is a need </li><li>Perform other duties appropriate to the position as needed and as assigned by the supervisor.</li></ul><p><b>REPORTS TO:</b>&nbsp;The CTB/MSH Regional Manager</p>
