Position: Project Manager - Software/ Scrum Master
The IT Project Manager will assume a role in leading a software development team for one of Apposit’s key products. We are looking for a candidate who can assume responsibility for working and leading software development teams in matters of agile processes and agile project management. This includes ensuring that the team functions at a sustainably high level while continuously delivering value to the business.

Responsibilities:
- Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
- Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self organization
- Guiding the team on self organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
- Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and
radiating information
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example

Qualifications/Skills : Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related discipline with IT focus
- At least 4 years of experience with at least 2 of those being in a project management role
- Able to communicate well both orally and written form in English
- Has at least 1 year experience with agile methods for project lifecycle management from inception to close

Desirable Skills:
- Experience of managing software development teams is beneficial
- Knowledge of Scrum and Scrum Master experience would be beneficial
- Previous experience with test driven development practices (TDD)
- Use consistent methodology to manage projects
- Effectively organizes and motivates teams
