Livelihoods for Resilience activity (GRAD II) project work in 27 woredas which are found in three regions, namely Amhara, SNNPR and Tigray. These are Ofla, Alamata, Enda Mehoni, Emba Alage, Hintalo Wojerat, Ganta Afeshum, Hawzen, Gulomekeda (Tigray); Guba Lafto, Habru, Raya Kobo, Meket, Wadla, Menz Mama, Menz Gera ( Amhara); Misha, Lemu, Anlemu, Soru, Duna, Kochire, Wonago, Dilla Zuria, Aleta Wendo,Dara, Boricha, Chuko (SNNPR). The goal/purpose of GRAD II project is to reduce food insecurity and increasing resilience for households (HHs) in highland areas of the three regions using the experiences gained from its predecessor – Graduation with Resilience to Achieve Sustainable Development (GRAD). The goal is to enable 97,900 chronically food insecure households to graduate from the PSNP with resilience. SNV is mainly responsible to take the lead role in value chains/market systems development through building the capacity of implementing partners, the private sector and other stakeholders.In doing so for agriculture to prosper, farm inputs need to be available, affordable, accessible, and good quality. Seeds and agro-chemicals are essential for improving the productivity and incomes of smallholder farmers in developing countries like Ethiopia. SNV is, therefore, looking to hire a consulting firm to undertake input supply and demand mapping study on the demand, supply and current market dynamics of the agricultural input sector in three regions. 2. Scope of Work The SNV requires the service of a qualified and experienced consulting firm to undertake a market assessment for supply and demand mapping for agricultural inputs market in 27 woredas of the three regions.
