Serve as the lead expert and prime focal person for health related projects.
Participate in different capacity building programmes;
Ensure the feasibility of health projects using different project appraisal dimensions/criteria, and prepare project proposals upon approval;
Prepare plans and budget for all his/her activities, and ensure their implementation upon approval;
Develop and implement standard data collection techniques/methods for all nutrition and health projects, and ensure that the operations of the firm are on the basis of the standards;
Develop and maintain relationships and networks with key external stakeholders, including the food, nutrition and health community, to promote science-based policies, education, and communication;
 Be responsible for the implementation, management, supervision and support of the assigned nutrition field interventions in line with the activity plan and time frame of the relevant project proposal and any applicable national and international USAID guidelines and standards;
Facilitate partners learning, synthesis, documentation and sharing of experience/learning of public health within the organization;
Develop internal organizational nutrition and health training and development of tools/guidelines/standards to improve program quality;
Actively engage in nutrition and health networks with key partners including government and institutions/agencies, universities, and donors;
Produce analytical reports, analytical papers, guidelines, success stories, lessons learned;
Organize and execute project-monitoring activities; Collect, categorize and synthesise evidence on a wide range of nutrition related research and analysis in Ethiopia;


Compile regular reports on the progress of the project;
Perform any other task assigned by the General Manager. 

 
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience: MSc in Public Health, Nutrition Science, Health Economics, Health Monitoring and Evaluation, Health Project Management or related field of studies.  PhD in similar disciplines is advantageous. The specialist should have significant nutrition and health related experience of diverse governmental and/or bilateral and multilateral donor funded projects. The applicant is required to be a creative, innovative and strategic thinker, and will have an excellent communication skills (written and spoken English), analytical skill of the current nutrition and health situation of the country, reporting, organizational, interpersonal and cross-cultural skills; and finally proven ability to produce results. The candidate should have at least five years working with nutrition and health organizations on Results Based Management (RBM); and having relevant and demonstrable working experience in providing food security and nutrition technical advice to international donor agencies on large international development projects, including cooperating with key stakeholders in Ethiopia (i.e. donors, UN agencies, International Health Institutions, Government of Ethiopia’s line ministries and agencies); demonstrated experience in demand creation and community mobilization for community and facility-based health services; and has received training on nutrition mainstreaming in the health, community mobilization and related topics. Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities:
The health monitoring specialist is directly answerable to the General Manager of the Firm. The candidate, without prejudice to the responsibilities of the General Manager of the Firm, shall have the responsibilities to: 

Serve us the lead expert and quality controller for monitoring and evaluation activities of the Company;
Participate in varous M&E capacity building programs;
Develop a detailed M&E plan for the whole project, including specific output and outcome indicators (qualitative and quantitative indicators). This has to be done in close collaboration with USAID/Transform MELA M&E Specialists, USAID/EPMES specilists and PRIN Program staff.
Prepare project proposals upon approval;
Prepare plans and budget for all his/her activities, and ensure their implementation upon approval;
Develop and implement standard data collection techniques/methods for all health projects, and ensure that the operations of the firm are on the basis of the standards;
Undertake monitoring and evaluation of diverse health projects by using state-of-art software, and qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques;
Work with the program managers on special studies pertinent to M&E and provide inputs in the definition of the studies and TORs for the necessary consultants. Oversee the implementation of the studies and assure the timely reporting of the studies;
Help organize national and regional workshops to present the results of the findings as a whole and of the specific studies carried out;
Aggregate the annual M&E findings and publish the annual M&E report that is part of the annual report;
Responsible for documentation and sharing of the result findings related to printed, audio visual and related materials including of publication of these materials on the website; 
Contribute that the Firm always keeps abreast developments and positions itself to respond effectively to the  research, and consultancy services of its diverse stakeholders;
Discharge such other responsibilities as may be given to him or her by the General Manager of the Firm.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Gender specialist is directly answerable to the General Manager of the Firm. The Candidate, without prejudice to the responsibilities of the General Manager of the Firm, shall have the responsibilities to: 

Serve as the prime focal person for gender-rlated activties at PRIN and its clients (USAD/Trasform:MELA, USAID/EPMES).
Participate in different capacity building programmes;

Work with the PRIN team in developing, implementing and monitoring gender sensitive annual work plans and budgets as well as associated deliverables and results/outputs.;
Coordinate gender related trainings and health communication at all levels;
·Developing and/or adapting gender sensitive communication materials and targeted health communication materials including training materials and BCC materials with USAID/ TRANSFORM MELA Health Team, USAID/EPMES team, other clients;
·Participate in the gender and women specific partner and stakeholder meetings, workshops and technical working groups as necessary;
.Prepare analytical reports, success stories, lessons learned related to gender mainstreaming based on USAID Gender Mainstreaming guideline;
Support mainstreaming of gender in day to day implementation of USAID/Transform MELA project and other projects;
Produce, document and share program implementation reports, supportive supervision as well as mentoring reports as per the standard format;
Ensure that feedback from supportive supervision visits, review meetings and related forums are applied in the facilities for continuous improvement in gender and health communication interventions;
Identify areas of best practices and success stories and collaborate with Regional Managers of PRIN and communication team to produce the practice report and stories;
Closely work with PRIN and USAID/Transform MELA Monitoring and Evaluation team to document performance, develop data base and update it regularly.

Perform any other task assigned by the General Manager.

Under the direct supervision of the Registration Associate, the Registration Mobilization Assistant will be a focal person in the awareness raising component of the L3 Registration. This component aims to facilitate the profiling of refugees, encouraging men and women to ensure all their data, including skill set, vulnerabilities, family links are effectively captured, to maximize their opportunities for protection, assistance, self-reliance and solution. S/he will work with communities to explain the purpose of L-3 registration, the importance of all refugees to get registered at L-3 level, ensure outreach to all refugees, facilitate their appointments and access to the registration center. S/he will collaborate and coordinate with other partners to identify challenging in accessing L-3 registration and facilitate an effective multi-sectoral approach, in order to ensure meaningful access to L-3 Registration to all refugees. WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Camp setting: The situation in camps is relatively stable but remains unpredictable; there is potential conflict between sub-clans/ ethnic groups in most camps.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Community Mobilization and Awareness Raising:

Participate in awareness raising aimed at promoting effective access of all refugees to L-3 registration.
Utilize participatory methodology to identify and report concerns to the registration and protection teams.
Play a lead role in the formation of community groups for mobilizations.
Work with women, girls, men and boys, local partners and Community Based Organizations to sensitize on the importance of L-3 registration.

Reporting:

Submit weekly narrative reports to camp Protection / Registration staff in a timely manner.
Communicate all obstacles/Problems to camps Program Manager for further action.
Follow-up on trainings/sensitizations/meetings conducted to ensure implementation of plans
Any other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of Secondary Education.
Minimum 5 years of relevant job experience (3 years with post-secondary certificate/training).
