በሀዋሳ፣ በወላይታና በወልቂጤ በተፈጠሩ ግጭቶች በሰዎችና ንብረት ላይ ጉዳት መድረሱ ታወቀ። አካባቢዎቹም ውጥረት እንደነገሰባቸው ያነጋገርናቸው ነዋሪዎች ለአሜሪካ ድምፅ ገለጹ። ለግጭቶቹ መባባስ ደግሞ የተጋነኑ መረጃዎች አስተዋጾ አላቸው ብለዋል። ከዚህ በላይ ሁኔታዎቹ እንዳይባባሱ አስቸኳይ መፍትሔ እንዲሰጥበትም አሳስበዋል።

ኦሮምያ ውስጥ አልፎ አልፎ ይታያል ያሉትን የሥርዓተ-አልበኝነት ችግር ለማስወገድ ከሕዝብ ጋር ሆነው እንደሚሠሩ የክልሉ ርዕሰ-መስተዳድር አቶ ለማ መገርሣ አስታውቀዋል። በሌላ በኩል ደግሞ ኦሮምያና ሶማሌ ክልሎች በሚዋሰኑባቸው አካባቢዎች ላይ ሲነሱ በቆዩ ግጭቶች ምክንያት ኦሮምያ ውስጥ 159 ትምህርት ቤቶች መዘጋታቸውን የክልሉ የትምህርት ቢሮ ኃላፊ ዶ/ር ቶላ በሪሶ ለቪኦኤ ገልፀዋል።

ኢትዮጵያ የገጠማትን የውጭ ምንዛሪ እጥረት ለማስወገድ፣ የተባበረው አረብ ኤሚሬትስ መንግሥት $1 ቢሊዬን ዶላር ማዕከላዊ ባንክ ውስጥ እንደሚያስገባላት አስታወቀ።
