    Russia Keen to Collaborate with Ethiopia Robotics Innovations, AI : Ambassador Terekhin
    Addis Ababa October 23/2024 (ENA)-Russia is Keen to collaborate with Ethiopia in Robotics Innovations and Artificial intelligence (AI), Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Evgeny E. Terekhin. Russian Robotic Innovations have been exhibited today at Russian Center for Science and Culture in Addis Ababa. The event, held under the theme “Days of Robotics and Innovative Educational Technologies” was organized by south west State University, a leading Russian university in the field of scientific and technical research and development. The Russian Robotic Innovations show will be open for public for the coming three days. Ethiopians drawn from various schools, colleges, universities, teachers, postgraduate students, innovation experts, individuals studying in Russia among others participated at event. On the occasion, Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeny E. Terekhin told ENA that Russia has the desire to work in coloration with Ethiopia in Robotics Innovations and Artificial Intelligence as part of the bilateral collaboration between the two countries. “Our specialists in the field are also keen to cooperate with Ethiopian partners and colleagues in conducting research, and exchange ideas in the field,” he underscored. According to the ambassador, the artificial intelligence and robotics developed by Ethiopians and studies conducted by young Ethiopian scientists and technologies are really amazing. It is really astonishing to see what great results are achieved just in a short span of time. Ethiopian Secondary School Students will be provided opportunity to study the field in Russian Universities, he added. In his comment on Ethiopia’s 5 Million Coders Training program launched by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on July 23, 2024, Ambassador Terekhin remarked that the initiative is really great as it enables to move forward in the sector.
