Addis Ababa, June 15, 2018 (FBC) - Djibouti's President Ismail Omar Guelleh yesterday issued pardons for 45 Ethiopian prisoners convicted of various crimes.
The President pardoned the prisoners, who had been sentenced 1-10 years in prison, following the recent visit of Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed and in connection with Eid al-Fitr festivity, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia said.
They will return back home in the coming days once preparations of their travel document are completed, the Ministry said.convicted
