Addis Ababa, June 4, 2018 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Workneh Gebeyehu held discussion with his Norwegian counterpart Ine Eriksen Soreide in Oslo, Norway today.

The discussion focused on regional security, migration, development and domestic political situation. 

“We are important partners on regional and global issues and will continue our strong engagement,” said Soreide during the discussion.
Dr. Workneh also met the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense of the Norwegian Parliament. 

The two sides held broad discussion including global issues, regional and economic developments, job creation, and human rights issues, among others.
The Ethiopian Foreign Minister further visited Yara International Headquarters in Oslo, where he was briefed by CEO Svein Tore Holsether about the potential Yara investment in Potash extraction in Dallol, Afar regional state.
