Zema is a music player app that allows users to fetch instant lyrics to the music they are currently listening to.

About half urban Ethiopian's are hooked in to their phones everyday, and when they tune in, they are mostly using foreign apps to listen to music.

Having a country where half of users are watching and listening to languages that are not their own shows that there is a significant portion of the Ethiopian population that desires more localized app that can solve this problem.

This was they key insight that helped us come up with the idea of developing Zema, that allows users to listen and get the lyrics of a specific music instantly.

We hope to change the way people experience local content by providing an app proudly made in Ethiopia, that allows them to fetch the lyrics to the songs they are listening to from the central database.
