Addis Ababa, July 13, 2018 (FBC) –Ethiopian President Dr Mulatu Teshome has appointed eight ambassadors who will represent Ethiopia in foreign countries today.

Here are the newly appointed ambassadors:

2. Alemayehu Tegenu
3. Eshetu Dessie
4. Azanaw Tadesse
5. Yonas Yousef
6. Diriba Kuma
7. Yalew Abate
8. Abedulfeta Abedulahi

Addis Ababa, July 13, 2018 (FBC) –Eritrean embassy in Addis Ababa will be reopened on Monday, said Ahmed Shide, Minister of Government Communication Affairs Office of Ethiopia.

Last Monday, the two nations signed agreements to resume diplomatic ties and open a new chapter of cooperation and partnership after 20-year of military standoff.
Leaders of the two countries signed the agreements following the visit of Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed to Asmara.
Among the agreements include opening up embassies in their respective countries.
“Eritrean embassy in Ethiopia will go operational on Monday,” said Ahmed at a press briefing organized in connection with the visit of Eritrean President Isaias Afeworki to Ethiopia tomorrow.
At the invitation of Prime Minister Dr Abiy, President Isaias will arrive in Ethiopia Saturday for a 3-day state visit.
According to Ahmed, preparations have been finalized to warmly welcome the Eritrean delegation led by President Isaias.
During its three-day stay in Ethiopia, the delegation will visit the Hawassa industrial park, located in the SNNP regional state.
