[Ethiopian Herald] Addis Abeba -The high-level Eritrean delegation composed of three persons arrived this afternoon in Addis Ababa accepting Ethiopia's call to normalize relationship.

[Reporter] Almost twenty years under "no war, no peace" situation, the subsequent governments of Ethiopia and Eritrea are finally coming to the negotiation table to resolve their difference and implement the longstanding Algiers Agreement that has put a stop to the 1998-2000 boarder clash.

[VOA] A high-level delegation from Eritrea is in neighboring Ethiopia for historic talks that could bring an end to one of Africa's longest-running conflicts.

[The Conversation Africa] At least two people died and 156 were wounded in a grenade attack at a political rally in Addis Ababa addressed by reformist Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. Abiy was a surprise guest on the day and, moments after sitting down once he'd made his speech, there was an explosion metres away. He was not hurt, but the rally's organisers have claimed he was the main target.

[Shabait] Asmara -A senior Eritrean delegation composed of Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Presidential Advisor, have arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in the afternoon hours today.

[Addis Standard] Late one evening in 2015, local police arrested 28-year-old Abdi [not his real name] and over the next two weeks beat him every night. Prison guards routinely humiliated him - stripping him naked, tying a jerry can filled with water to his testicles and parading him in front of fellow prisoners. Sixteen months later, his family paid a bribe to secure his release. To this day he doesn't know why he was detained.

[VOA] Conflict in Ethiopia's vast Oromia region has disrupted formal education for tens of thousands of youngsters, authorities there say.
