    Ethiopian National Association of Persons Affected by Leprosy (ENAPAL)
    Ethiopian National Association of Persons Affected by Leprosy(ENAPAL) is an Ethiopian resident registered civil society that works to enhance the socio-economic empowerment of people affected by leprosy and also works to mitigate stigma and discrimination faced by persons affected by leprosy. Currently, ENAPAL is looking for a competent Project Officer for a project entitled “We Are Able!” Project through engagement with public authorities (formal and informal power holders),] men and women with disabilities and other marginalized groups, through resilient and capable local CSOs/DPOs…are successfully influencing laws, policies, practices, and norms for improved food security for all.   The project is initiated to strengthen Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Organization of Person with Disabilities (OPDs) in the target areas. The project Officer will be based in Harar, and reports to the Project Planning and Programming Department Head. He/she will be responsible for the project’s overall implementation in the action area. The main responsibilities of the project officer are: -  Prepare an implementation plan for the project in consultation with the program team in ENAPAL.Conduct and facilitate local participatory mapping and diagnosis of the situation of persons with disabilities at project target towns.Lead, facilitate, and monitor forming and establishment of IGA groups in intervention areasConduct training need assessment of DPOs/CSOs and intervene accordinglyFacilitate and follow-up preparation and publication of BBS/BDS modules; and conduct training for IGA membersConduct a capacity assessment of DPOs in intervention areas, and use the finding to intervene accordinglyCapacitate selected IGA groups for successful lobbying and advocacy Support the translation and dissemination of New WHO Disability & Leprosy principles and guidelinesProvide technical support and build the capacity of organizations of persons with disabilities (DPOs) through various capacity building trainingsFollow up and capacitate local field facilitators in intervention towns/woreda and collect regular reportsPrepare, compile and submit regular internal and donor reportsRepresent ENAPAL in different government and non-governmental consortia, platforms and meetings. Collect, document and disseminate examples of good practice and lessons learnedEnsure implementation of ENAPAL’s Safeguarding Policy, in line with project implementation activities in the target areasAccomplishing additional works assigned by Project and Program Planning Department HeadTerm of employment:  One year (contract) with the possibility of extension based on performance
