ኢትዮጵያውያን ህገ ወጥ ስደተኞች በተቀመጠው የጊዜ ገደብ ከሳዑዲ አረቢያ እንዲወጡ ጥሪ ቀረበ መቀሌ ግንቦት 21/2009 የሳዑዲ አረቢያ መንግስት ህገ ወጥ ስደተኞች ከአገሪቱ እንዲወጡ ባስቀመጠው የጊዜ ገደብ ኢትዮጵያውያን ህገ ወጥ ስደተኞች ወደአገራቸው እንዲመለሱ የኢትዮጵያ ዲያስፖራ ማህበር ጥሪ አቀረበ። የማህበሩ የቦርድ አባል መምህር ያሲን ራጀኡ ለኢትዮጵያ ዜና አገልግሎት እንደገለጹት ስደተኞቹ ወደ አገራቸው በክብር እንዲመለሱ የሳዑዲ አረቢያ መንግስት ያስተላለፈውን ውሳኔና የጊዜ ገደብ ማክበር አለባቸው። እንደ መምህር ያሲን ገለጻ፣ የሳዑዲ መንግስት በህገ ወጥ መንገድ ወደ አገሩ የገቡ ስደተኞች ከአገሪቱ እንዲወጡ መልዕክት ያስተላለፈው ለአገርቱ ደህንነት ሲባል መሆኑን በመገንዘብ ኢትዮጵያውያኑ ጊዜው ሳያልፍ ወደ አገራቸው መመለስ አለባቸው። የተላለፈውን አዋጅ ተከትለው ወደአገራቸው መመለስ የጀመሩ ህገ ወጥ ስደተኞች ቢኖሩም አንዳንዶቹ ሰምተው እንዳልሰሙ መሆናቸውን ገልጸዋል። " የሳዑዲ መንግስት ያስተላለፈው ውሳኔ የተለመደ ነው፣ ግማሹን ካስወጣ በኋላ ለእኛ ምህረት ያደርግልና " በሚል እስካሁን ያልወጡ በርካታ ዜጎች መኖራቸውን መምህር ያሲን ጠቁመዋል። ይህ የተሳሳተ አስተሳሰብ በእጅጉ የሚጎዳ በመሆኑ ኢትዮጵያውያን ስደተኞች የተቀመጠው የጊዜ ገደብ ሳያልፍ ወደ አገራቸው እንዲመለሱ ጥሪ አቅርበዋል። ወላጆችም ልጆቻቸው በሰላም ወደአገራቸው እንዲመለሱ የበኩላቸውን ጥረት እንዲያደርጉ መምህር ያሲን አስገንዝበዋል። "በሳዑዲ አረቢያ የሚገኙ አብዛኞቹ ኢትዮጵያውያን ህገ ወጥ ስደተኞች በገጠር አካባቢ ይገኛሉ" ያሉት መምህር ያሲን፣ አሁን አዋጁን አክብረው ከአገሪቱ ካልመጡ የከፋ ችግር ሊደርስባቸው እንደሚችል አመልክተዋል። መምህር ያሲን እንዳሉት የሳዑዲ መንግስት ከአገርቱ አንወጣም ያሉ ህገወጥ ስደተኞችን ለማሰር ከፍተኛ ሙቀት ባለባቸው አካባቢዎች 98 እስር ቤቶችን አዘጋጅቷዋል። የኢትዮጵያ መንግስት ዜጎቹ በሰላም እንዲመለሱ በሪያድና በጅዳ 18 ቅርንጫፍ ጽህፈት ቤቶችን ከፍቶ ጊዜያዊ ፓስፖርት አዛጋጅቶ እየጠበቃቸው በመሆኑ እድሉን በአግባቡ እንዲጠቀሙበት አሳስበዋል። የኢትዮጵያ ዲያስፖራ ማህበር አባላት በቅርቡ ወደሳዑዲ አረቢያ በመሄድ ዜጎች ያለችግር በሰላም ወደአገራቸው እንዲመለሱ የመቀስቀስና የማስገንዘብ ሥራ እንደሚሰሩ አስረድተዋል። በሳዑዲ አረቢያ ለስድስት ዓመት መቆየቷዋን የተናገረችው የአድዋ ከተማ ነዋሪ ወጣት ክብራ ገብረማሪያም፣ ኢትዮጵያውያን ስደተኞች በሳዑዲ አረቢያ የሚደርስባቸው እንግልት ከባድ መሆኑን ተናግራለች። በሳዑዲ አረቢያ የሚገኙ ኢትዮጵያውያን " ወደ አገሬ ተመልሼ ምን እሰራለሁ " በሚል የተሳሰተ አመለካከት ራሳቸውን ለተለያዩ ችግሮች ማጋለጥ እንደሌለባቸው መክራለች። ከሳዑዲ አረቢያ ወደአገሯ ከተመለሰች አንድ ወር እንደሆናት የተናገረችው ወጣት ክብራ፣ "ወጣቶች በአገራቸው ሰርተው መለወጥ እንደሚችሉ አምነው በሰላም መመለስ አለባቸው" ብላለች። " በአገር ሰርቶ መጠቀም ክብር ነው፤ ሳዑዲ አረቢያ ሂደን ውርደት እንጂ ክብር አላገኘንም " ያሉት ደግሞ ሦስት ጊዜ ሳዑዲ አረቢያ ሄደው የመጡት አቶ ናይዝጊ ዝግታ የተባሉ የአድዋ ከተማ ነዋሪ ናቸው። ኢትዮጵያውያን ህገ ወጥ ስደተኞች ምንም ሀብት ሳናፈራና ከአገር ለመውጣት የተበደርነውን ገንዘብ ሳንከፍል እንዴት እንመለሳለን የሚል አስተሳሰብን ወደጎን በመተው ወደአገራቸው መመለስ እንዳለባቸው አስገንዝበዋል። የትግራይ ክልል ስፖርትና ወጣቶች ጉዳይ ቢሮ ኃላፊ አቶ ጎይቶኦም ይብራህ በበኩላቸው፣ በ2009 ዓ.ም በትግራይ ክልል ሥራ አጥ ወጣቶች ተብለው የተለዩ 401 ሺህ ወጣቶች መኖራቸውን ገልጸዋል። ከእነዚህ መካከል በሥራ ላይ ለመሰማራት የተመዘገቡት 90 በመቶ የሚሆኑን ብቻ መሆናቸውን ገልጸው በህገ ወጥ ተሰደው የሄዱ የክልሉ ወጣቶች ወደአገራቸው ሲመለሱ በእዚህ እንዲታቀፉ የሚደረግ መሆኑን አመልክተዋል። Source: http://www.ena.gov.et/index.php/social/item/14734-2017-05-29-15-55-08

አዲስ አበባ ግንቦት 21/2009 አትሌት መሰረት ደፋር በቤጂንግ ኦሊምፒክ በአምስት ሺህ ሜትር ሴቶች ያስመዘገበችው የነሐስ ሜዳሊያ ወደ ብር አደገ። ዓለም አቀፉ የኦሊምፒክ ኮሚቴ ለኢትዮጵያ ኦሊምፒክ ኮሚቴ ዛሬ በላከው መረጃ እንዳመለከተው መሰረት ሜዳሊያው የተቀየረላት በወቅቱ ሁለተኛ ወጥታ የነበረችው በትውልድ ኢትዮጵያዊት በዜግነት ቱርካዊት አትሌት ኤልቫን አብይ ለገሰ የተከለከለ አበረታች መድሃኒት ተጠቅማ መገኘቷ ስለተረጋገጠ ነው። አትሌት ኤልቫን እንደ አውሮፓውያን አቆጣጠር ከ2007 እስከ 2009 ድረስ ያገኘችውን ክብር፣ ጥቅምና ሜዳሊያዎች ተነጥቃለች። በ29ኛው የቤጂንግ ኦሊምፒክ በአምስት ሺህ ሜትር ሴቶች አትሌት ጥሩነሽ ዲባባ በአንደኝነት በማጠናቅቅ የወርቅ ሜዳሊያ ማስገኘቷ ይታወሳል። አትሌት መሰረት ደፋር ደግሞ ሶስተኛ ነበር የወጣችው። ሁለተኛ የወጣችው አትሌት አብይ ለገሰ ሜዳሊያዋን ስለተነጠቀች የመሰረት የነሐስ ሜዳሊያ ወደ ብር ማደግ ችሏል። በወቅቱ አራተኛ ሆነ ያጠናቀቀችው ኬንዊቷ ሲሊቪ ኬቤት የነሐስ ሜዳሊያ ታገኛለች። ከዚህ ቀደም አትሌት ሶፍያ አሰፋ በለንደን ኦሊምፒክ በሶስት ሺህ ሜትር መሰናክል ሴቶች ያገኘችው የነሐስ ሜዳሊያ ወደ ብር ማደጉ አይዘነጋም። ኢትዮጵያ እስካሁን በተሳተፈችባቸው 13 የኦሊምፒክ ጨዋታዎች 22 የወርቅ፣ 11 የብርና 20 የነሐስ በድምሩ 53 ሜዳሊያዎች መሰብሰብ ችላለች።

ኢትዮጰያ የሳቴላይት ቲቪ አገልግሎት ለመስጠት ከኢዩቴል ሳት ጋር ስምምነት ፈጸመች ግንቦት 3/2009 የኢትዮዽያ የኢንፎርሜሽን መረብ ደህንነት ኤጀንሲ (INSA) ኢዩቴል ሳት ከተሰኘው ድርጅት ጋር ባደረገው ስምምነት ኢትዮ ሳት የተባለ የሳተላይት ቲቪ ለትግበራ አመቺ እንዲሆን ማድረጉን ራፒድ ቲቪ በዜና ዘገባው አመልከቷል። ኢትዮ ሳት ሳተላይት ቲቪ ዘጠኝ ብሄራዊ ቻናሎችን እንደያዘም በዘገባው ተመልክቷል። የትብብር ስምምነቱ ኢዩቴል ሳት በ7/8 ዲግሪ ዌስት በመካከለኛው ምስራቅና ሰሜን አፍሪካ ለማሰራጨት አቅምን ይፈጥርለታል ተብሏል። የኢትዮዽያ ብሄራዊ ሳተላይት ቴሌቪⶵን ከበርካታ ሳተላይቶች ተቀብለው የሚያሰራጩ ከ30 በላይ ቻናሎችን በውስጡ አቅፎ መያዙን ያመለከተው ዘገባው በስምምነቱ የተፈጠረው ምቹ ሁኔታ የስራ ፈቃድ ያላቸውን ቻናሎች እውን እንዲሆኑ በማድረግ የዲጂታል ስራውን ለማቀላጠፍ እንደሚረዳ ዘግቧል። በስምምነት ዕድሉ የኢትዮዽያ ብሮድካስቲንግ ኮርፖሬሽንና ኦሮሚያ ቲቪ የመጀመሪያዎቹ በመሆን መረጃዎቻቸውን እያሰራጩ ይገኛሉ።በቀጣይም የብሄራዊ፣የክልላዊና የንግድ ብሮድካስት መገናኛ ብዙሃንን ወደ ኢትዮሳት የማስገባት ስራ እንደሚሰራ ኤጀንሲው ጠቁሟል። “የኮንትራት ስምምነቱ በኢትዮዽያ የዲጂታል ቴሌቪⶵን ገበያ ውስጥ አዲስ የለውጥ ማዕበል ሊፈጥር ይችላል፤የመረጃ ይዘቶች በነፃ አየር በተለያየ አግባብ የሚተላለፉባቸው ከ1200 በላይ ጠንካራ ቻናሎች ያሉበት ነው።” በማለት የኢዩቴል ሳት የገበያ ልማት ዋና ስራ አስፈፃሚ ሚሼል አዚበርት ተናግረዋል። የኢትዮዽያ የኢንፎርሜሽን መረብ ደህንነት ኤጀንሲ ዳይሬክቶሬት ዳይሬክተር ገ/መስቀል ተክለማርያም በበኩላቸው ኢትዮሳት የሃገራችንን የሚዲያ መልክዓ ምድር እንደሚለውጠው ተናግረዋል። “የኢዩቴል ሳትን የካበተ ልምድ በመጠቀም ኤጀንሲው በሃገሪቱ ዘርፈ ብዙ የብሮድካስት አገልግሎት በጥራትና ተወዳዳሪ ይዘት ይሰጣል”በማለት አክለዋል። http://www.ena.gov.et/index.php/technology/item/14187-2017-05-11-22-25-01

Flying-adventure travel show Asian Air Safari launched its latest season with a screening of a two-part special on Ethiopia at Shang Cineplex last May 23. Guests enjoyed the ultimate cultural experience – with Ethiopian Airlines flying in the iconic coffee ceremony, followed by a feast of authentic Ethiopian cuisine, which included the staple, injera. Cultural performers also flew all the way from Addis Ababa to showcase their unique songs and dances. Ethiopian Ambassador H.E. Ethiopia's Mamita Daska wins fifth women's pro crown Natosha Rogers is somewhat of an anomaly on the local distance running circuit. Rogers has spent the bulk of her life in Colorado. And yet until Monday she had never participated in the state's annual gem of a road race, the Bolder Boulder. Rogers made the most of her first appearance in the women's professional race at the 39th edition of the annual Memorial Day distance-running festival, finishing third overall and very nearly pushing one of the United States teams to a rare victory in the international team challenge. The women's pro race otherwise boasted a familiar look, with Ethiopia returning to the top of the team standings behind the historic fifth individual victory by Mamita Daska. "Lots of people in my family have run it, and a lot of my family grew up around Boulder, but I had not even watched the race before. And I'm not proud of it," Rogers said. "Neely (Gracey) talked me into doing this race this year, and it hit me that this is an amazing opportunity. "I actually was so nervous for this race. More nervous than for any race I've done this year. I definitely exceeded expectations. I thought I could get top 10 but I never thought I'd get third." Rogers and the rest of the pack quickly were left behind by Daska, fellow Ethiopian Ruti Aga, and Kenya's Gladys Kipsoi. However, as the two Ethiopians continued to increase their lead, Kipsoi eventually fell back toward the back. When that occurred, and with the top two spots clearly of reach, Rogers took advantage of an opening. Advertisement "Two miles in I said, 'I better be competitive, otherwise I'm going to regret it,'" Rogers said. "All I was saying in my head was third place, third place, third place. That made me go after her. We battled in the middle, but I was able to drop her around mile four or five. This was one of my favorite races I've ever done." Daska made race history by becoming just the second female professional to win five titles at the Bolder Boulder. Daska previously earned wins in 2014, 2012, 2009, and 2010. Daska's victory gave Ethiopia six consecutive individual wins in Bolder Boulder's international team challenge, and Daska's win returned her country to the top of the team standings after a run of seven consecutive wins by Ethiopia was snapped last year by Kenya. Daska finished in 32 minutes, 44.84 seconds to outpace her teammate Aga by 56.85 seconds. Rogers finished third with a time of 34:00.83. Ethiopia finished with 13 team points to edge the USA Red team by one point. Kenya (24 points), Mexico (36) and USA White (36) rounded out the top five. While the near-miss by the USA Red team was paced by Rogers, she had plenty of help with a fifth-place finish from Gracey and a sixth-place finish from Lindsey Scherf. American Stephanie Bruce, who ran for USA White, placed eighth. It was the second runner-up finish in three years for a USA team, with both of those squads featuring top-10 runs from Gracey. "I ran this race two years ago and we finished second as a team that year as well, and that was definitely our goal," Gracey said. "We were talking about that before the start. We knew Ethiopia was going to be really competitive, so for us to come away finishing only one point out of that victory...in some ways it's so frustrating because it shows that every point does count. You start to question if there was a point in the race where we could've worked just a little bit harder to make that happen. But I think we all ran the very best we could today."
