Addis Ababa, June 19, 2018 (FBC) – A peaceful rally in show of support for Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed will be staged in Addis Ababa next Saturday.
The rally is intended to encourage and recognize the changes brought about by the Prime Minister since he assumed the Premiership post, organizing committee of the rally said today.
In general it is aimed at showing solidarity to the Prime Minister, the committee said in a press conference.
The committee also called on Ethiopians to demonstrate their solidarity to the Premier and the efforts being made to ensure peace in the country by participating in the rally.
The rally will be held on Saturday morning at 7a.m local time at the Meskel Square.
People residing in the surrounding areas of Addis Ababa are also expected to participate in the rally.
The committee finally called on the public and police to discharge their responsibilities for the peaceful conduct of the rally.
